Ok so this who new program with tickets and rooms, you see the commercials of 1500 for 7 nights value resort and tickets. I say Not let me show you whazt i found out for mt 10 night trip.

Ok if you use their system you have to make 2 ressies a 7 day and a 3 day the 7 day at the campground with tickets cost 1603.48....... the add'l 3 day camping and tickets cost 1169.58. So i looked at each individually campsite 769.40 for ten nights, and 1030.00 for tickets cost 1907.4 thats a savings of 865.65 that is a huge savings compared to their oh so great packages! How can they advertise those specials? That just sucks!
Sorry had to make sure you all knew this before you make ressies. I love my camping buds!

That's because the longer the tickets, the cheaper they are.

A 10-day ticket costs much less than a 7-day plus a 3-day ticket.

You could book your campsite for 7 nights with 10 day tickets (as a package). Then, book 3 more nights as "room only" with the campsite. It will end up cheaper than booking 2 packages.

Does this make sense?

yes, and just so noone misunderstood me yes their packages work as long as you dont need park hopper and magic plus, on another board someone got a bit peterbed with me. I just meant that its odd if you book them seperate you can save some money, I wish they could have a package for 10 nights tho

Theres probably a gimick to the package. Isn't it only for the value resorts? That would mean probably getting the worst room possible and theres probably double occupancy issues or something.
I tell ya I've been going to DW since it opened and probably have stayed at least 500+ times (NOT kidding) and I never book their packages. This week we book a trip for FT W and saved 50% on the phone compared to what the website quoted us for the cabins.

Disney is very smart. They are making it more attractive to stay with them and not stray to Universal. This new ticket policy is aimed at those families who do WDW for 4 days then go to Universal for 2 days and Seaworld for 1 day for their week vacations. Add to it free transportation to and from the airport. Likely with that service you won't need a rental car thus adding to your not going to other non-Disney parks and attractions or to offsite restaurants either. SLICK HUH??
