Macy's etc pre or post Christmas?

We will be in florida staying with family over Christmas. Our DD wants to hit the shops. We will be near a mall with a Macy's and a few other US dept stores. Will it be crazier Christmas eve or Dec. 26? She probably only has one day and is mainly interested in clothes.

I think I would go Dec. 26th. Both days will be busy, but Christmas Eve will have all of the last minute shoppers out. They might even have shorter hours Christmas Eve - I can't remember. I've gone to the mall the day after Christmas a few times - busy, but not as bad as pre-Christmas.

OP-Both days should have good sales.

The day before Christmas people will be buying. Stores will definitely be open til 6 pm. I can ask my mom if she knows how late the store is open.

On the 26th the store will be full of people returning things and using the gift cards they received for Christmas.

If you send me a PM with your address I can send you a bunch of coupons for Macy's. They send them to me constantly and I am shopping very little this year except for my daughter.

My wife works for Macys.
She said, they are closing at 6pm on Christmas Eve.

Which day is more crowded----
Christmas eve is crazy busy until about 1-2 pm. Then the crowds start leaving because church services will soon start or Christmas eve parties start.

The 26th is crazy busy all day (actually all week is) with returns and people using gift cards.

As long as she wasn't returning an item, the day after would be better IMHO.
