Wow, really? That bug is very impressive! I didn't know a kit lens with that range could get in that close.rtphokie said:...Both the bottom 2 shots were with the kit lens (18-55 mm)....

regular setting but i've been trying to get a butterfly pic for a long time so when i saw it i just kept snapping hoping he'd be close enough and he just happened to pose the right waysk8belle said:THAT must have been a nice surprise to find when you dl'ed your photos! Were you shooting on a continuous setting? Is that how it happened? Or is this really just down to pure luck?![]()
no credit goes to me
) and they( 1,2,4X) work ok on my 28-135 Is 3.5-5.6 lens till i use the actual macro one or try to combine two then it just is totally foggy, won't focus ( to the point i can't even see the object)and i can't get it to even manual focus..the macro setting for that lens is 135 but the focus won't stay on macro with the close up filters on, it goes to infinity. do i need to try a different lens, like my 50 f1.8?( will need to get a ring if i do)afraid you were going to say that ...so guess i'll be saving up for a macro lens next as somehow i don't think a bug is going to want me hovering 2 inches away taking his pictureKelly Grannell said:yes this is normal
) will that be the case with them or will i have more room, other than due to the additional space for the tube i meanjann1033 said:if i add a 1x closeup filter to a 1:2 macro lens what does that make it
