From reading these posts, it looks like Macon is a pretty popular place to stop for the night. I'm really hoping to arrive at AoA no later than 2pm. Should we shoot to go a little bit farther? I was thinking Cordele? By the time I have everyone awake, dressed and fed, we are realistically looking at departing the hotel around 9 or 9:30. I'd love to say earlier, but not with my kids.
Also, does anyone have a great hotel along this stretch that they recommend or stay at every time? There are such mixed reviews for most of these places. I've got to get something booked. We're a family of 6 so, I'm hoping to get a suite somewhere that will fit us all so, we don't have to get two rooms.
