Is there a big difference between the two besides the Boots and headrests? My DDs are 2 1/2 and 1. I'm looking for something sturdy that will last and folds up pretty compact.

We have the twin traveler. And it is perfect for us. I would change maybe one or two things, but I couldn't find anything else close. We have 3kids(6,3,1) have been using this since the youngest was new. It isn't any harder to push on the older one's side. VERY sturdy, I have no problem pushing when the 6yr old sneeks a ride. I like it that there is an extender for the legs...our 1 yr old can lay completely down without her legs dangling(and she is 33 1/2inches) We have only used the boot covers once...but we aren't in a very cold climate. We might use them on our trip in Feb...fingers crossed for warm weather! It folds smaller than a big double stroller, but not a small as some umbrella strollers. It is a heavy stroller. But I wanted sturdy over weight. It has been so long since I compared the two strollers, I can't remember the features of the Rally. Surely someone else here will know.

We tried out both in the store before deciding on the Twin Traveler. DD (age 2 yrs 4 months at the time) said the Twin Traveler was more "comfy" - so that is what we picked. Hardly scientific analysis, but it's what we did!

I debated a lot between these two strollers. I ended up getting the Twin Traveller. I'm pretty happy with it. The biggest difference that I saw betweent the two was the shade canopies. The 2005 Twin Traveller had a much more generous canopy than the Rally Twin. That's what sold it for me. Now, granted, I did not see the Rally Twin in person, so I am basing this on online photos of the Rally Twin (and canopies on Maclaren singles in the store). Shade is a huge deal for me, so I went with the one with the larger canopies. My girls were 3 and 1 1/2 when I got mine, so the head rests and leg extenders weren't really used.

What I like about the Twin Traveller:

good shade canopies
folds compactly
has reclining seats
55 pound weight limit per side
separate baskets under each seat
well made and sturdy
easy to push and steer
seat covers can be washed

What I don't like:

hard to steer one-handed
doesn't stand up on own when folded
can be tricky to unfold
NO cup holders (the single one broke very quickly)
not as light weight as others

It's not a perfect double, but I did a lot of research and figured that since it had the highest weight limit per side, it would last me the longest.

I'm thinking about the twin traveller, but I'm wondering if I'll have any trouble getting the thing through doorways. Any insights?

No problems...has always fit through doorways. I have to go slower if I am holding the door open and pushing through since I am standing at an angle...if you know what I mean.

Thanks everyone

I still can't decide though LOL

I don't want to spend $50 or $60 more for the Twin Traveller if the only difference is the accesssories that I won't use. I guess I'll have to hitthe stores and see if I can find them to try out.

Here's a dumb question. I've seen several people suggest bringing the stroller into a restaurant and wheeling it up to the table. We've done that in the past with one stroller, but on our next trip, we'll need a double stroller. Here's the question. . . has anyone ever rolled a double stroller up to the table in a restaurant? Thanks.

Yes, the accessories are certainly different between the two strollers. We have the Twin Traveller and absolutely LOVE it. I don't know what comes w/ the Rally Twin, but when we purchased the TT, it included footmuffs, head rests and a rain cover.

I had the chance to compare the Rally to the TT IRL and noticed that the Rally is slightly less wide, a tad lighter and shorter than the Twin Traveller. My kids also said that their TT was more "comfy" than the Rally Twin, like a previous poster had noted.

There's also a difference in the way each of the stroller's seats reclines. The Rally twin uses an adjustable strap recline system, while the Twin Traveller has a more typical stroller recline system by lifting hand grips to release the "seat locks" (my DH calls them pegs) which rests on notches. I hope that made sense.
