A little background on this:
Mabel is now 16 months old. She has never cared for water, but then again, we aren't around it often. Anytime we ever had the sprinklers going in the back, she wouldn't even go outside. Also, last 4th of July we went camping to DH's aunts house on a private lake like we do each 4th....and she wasn't too keen at all about it.
Well.....this year we went to the lake and we couldn't keep her out of the water!!!!! She LOVED it!!!! She actually took off after some geese into the middle of the lake and DH had to swim and go get her cause I guess "she couldn't hear him calling her name"
She got back safe and sound though.
Well, yesterday, I went and ran the front yard sprinklers and Mabel just about had a fit. She was going nutso trying to jump over the fence and I couldn't figure it out. So, I put the back ones on....man...I wish I had my video camera out!!! She was absolutely spaz!!! Running....jumping into the water coming out of the sprinklers....she was having a blast!!! I just couldn't believe it! She could have done it for hours if I let her (and could afford the water bill ).
I did buy a small pool for her...which, we haven't filled since we got back. I was so excited to try it out after work today....but it started to rain so we will do it tomorrow for sure (especially since it is going to be in the mid 90's for the next few days)
Just wanted to share since everyone always told me they are "water dogs".....she finally is one!!!!
