M

We are back from our trip and I'm slowly catching up.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the interation with Sophia. Simply priceless. :)

You don't love TOT? :faint: I don't love R&R...actually, I won't ride it. :duck:

That's too bad about the CM complaining about Disney. I have to say we ran into a lot of very "unfriendly" CM's the 36 hours we were there last week and I'm composing a letter to Disney about it.

A lovely afternoon at DHS, and a great way to relax for awhile afterward...lunch at the pool and a napping daughter.

Welcome back -- hope you had a wonderful trip!! Sorry to hear about some less-than-fab CM's...they are so few and far between, but when you do run into one, it leaves an impression.

I'd give anything to be camped out at SAB today for lunch and a nap! ;)

Isn't it amazing how the parks take on a whole new look and vibe at night? It's like a whole new experience.

And the "Street lights"!!! I'm with DD, I could enjoy those for hours.

I so appreciate the nights with no plans where you can just do whatever. There's Magic in that.

LOVE THE PICS WITH SOFIA!! I have yet to get over there to meet her! Must have something to do with the fact that I travel with other 20 somethings who have no idea who she is…bahah! I will get over there one day though. Glad that DD had so much fun, and watching Disney Jr, looks like you guys had a fun day!

UGH! Seriously the cm was complaingin about working for Disney, WHILE working for Disney.Like, hi, I’ll take your job in a heartbeat….

Oh my gosh that picture of DD hugging the stuffed nemo in front of the nemo statue is PRICELESS

Looks like a nice relaxing night at Epcot. I haven’t stayed at Epcot past mid afternoon in so long! It’ll be nice to actually explore it again in May! The soup looks tasty! Ah, it’s ALWAYS time for GM slush!!

That evening sky over Crescent Lake looks awesome. After my solo stay at Yacht Club, I have become a huge fan of the Epcot resorts with all of the restaurant options so close by.

Great meet and greets with Mickey and his friends!

Especially nowadays when everything is planned to the minute -- it was nice to just do whatever!! :cool1:

It was a great day -- between DHS and Epcot -- almost felt like 2 different days! Time flies while at Disney, but when you get so much in, it can feel like more time than you really had!!

Yes! The options are great -- even a walk around Crescent Lake is a treat.

Great pics! :)

Thanks! :goodvibes

I always tell people who are going to Disney to see all the parks twice. Once in the daytime and once at night, because they really are like two different places. Epcot, especially, gets a whole new feel when all the countries are lit up.

Impromptu Meet and Greets with some of the Fab 5...sounds like it was fun! I love the picture of your DD holding Minnie's finger. That is just too cute. :goodvibes

"bonus time" i.e., time in parks with no plans/nothing to accomplish is always great, and EPCOT at night is wonderful - especially the world showcase

My DD loved those light up paths as well ... who needs Space Mountain when you have part of the road lighting up!

good choices with your refreshments! :thumbsup2

Hi there! Noob here, staking out all the trip reports with little ones because I'll be taking a will-be 22 month old in December. LOVING yours and I just have to say: WOW, I cannot believe how much you were able to get done with a toddler in tow, especially on that Magic Kingdom day....holy moley! :worship: What's your secret?

Looks like your adorable dd does great with the characters, too! Did you do anything to prep her beforehand, or is she just naturally a social butterfly?

So, so true!! Epcot, and the World Showcase, feels totally different at night to me! I still haven't done AK at night, but I would love to!! :thumbsup2

Oh man, could I go for a slushie right now - SO good!! ;)

Welcome - thanks for joining in!!! I also stalked TRs with LOs -- it was so helpful! We took DD at 14 months as well. Both trips went remarkably well...it's all about taking a more laid back approach, and being flexible if need be. We definitely follow her lead, and try not to push if we sense she's tired, etc. DD is a pretty chill kid, and has always been able to nap in her stroller ok.

I think with so much going on, so many people, so many kids, so many fun things all around all the time, she never gets too bored, which helps prevent meltdowns.

Happy to answer more questions if you have them!! :goodvibes

Loving your TR! Just caught up from the very first post, and it's been fun to follow your days. We were there some of the same days - we came home on the 12th. Such a great time to visit. Looking forward to more.

Thanks so much for joining!! It was a great week to visit, huh?? :goodvibes

Help!!!

I'm trying to make some plans for our upcoming DCL cruise trip....and would love input from all of my wise TR DIS-friends!!

Here's the plan: We fly in Friday, renting a car, staying one night at POR, and driving to Port Canaveral on Saturday.

The plan is to take the POR boat over to Downtown Disney and grab dinner there. Probably a combo of Earl of Sandwich and/or Wolfgang Puck Express.

I haven't been to DD in years --- anything we shouldn't miss??

I'm also trying to decide on breakfast for Saturday.
Boma or Kona? We've never done either!

:confused3

EOS is great, BUT we LOVE Raglan Road for dinner - great entertainment (Irish dancing/ music) and great food. As far as can't miss DTD stuff, maybe a quick stop at Ghiradelli and of course WoD shop, also Aria loves the Lego store, maybe you could pick up a small Duplo set for the cruise?

For breakfast I'd vote Kona. While I do enjoy Boma, I think Kona is really fantastic!

Ok on to read more!

Your EPCOT evening sounds very nice, love the mickey, minnie and Goofy meet pics!! Love her giving Minnie a hug, so sweet!! And, I think I'll be buying Aria a Nemo stuffed animal next time we are there! I have Dory and Crush and she is in LOVE with nemo and she doesn't even have a Nemo plush! jeez! ;) looking forward to more!

Thanks for the advice! It is SO hard only being at WDW one day -- such a tease!! There are so many things we want to squeeze into that short 20 hours we'll be there.

Nemo has become a big-time favorite in our house! Nemo occupies a key spot in DD's crib next to her pillow :-) I'm currently looking for cute Nemo-themed hair bows on Etsy for her to wear on the cruise!

What a lovely evening at Epcot. :)

I love the photo with the palm tree...it looks just so peaceful.

Fun pictures with the fish (I could spend hours there as my husband would spend hours with his manatees if I let him).

The pictures with Mickey, Goofy and Minnie are awesome. :goodvibes

It really was a lovely evening! Peaceful, perfect weather, just all around nice!!

I have a friend who has the Flying Monkey Boutique on Facebook, and she makes bows! LMK if you want a link! I had her make the bows for Aria's pigtails, she won't keep in the big ones but even the pig tail bows are awesome!
