M&F Parking in the Evenings?

With ROTR, is it possible to still park in M&F in the evenings mid week?

I will be arriving around 6-7 pm a few nights this week and was wondering if there might be some parking spots that time of the evening. I am assuming some people would have left by then, but there might be a bunch of people getting off work and arriving around the same time as me. Do the preferred parking spots always get sold out?

I usually am just walking to the parks, but I am coming from a conference in Ontario this week. What are the next less painful parking options if M&F is full/closed? I might just park at DTD parking and get something to eat for validation, but no guarantees there either I guess. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Friday I have a free day and plan on arriving at the parking structure early. I am assuming 6:45 is early enough to get my pass scanned before 8. Or is that too early?

The good news for you is that since Pixar Pals opened, M&F rarely closes. It has happened a few times, but usually in conjunction with APs being unblocked or the first day of a major event in the parks. Keep tabs on @DisneylandToday on Twitter for parking updates and on the AP Blockout Calendar. If the structures or the lot closes, it will be announced on Twitter. This week, I think you'll be fine heading for M&F in the evenings. If Twitter should announce a closure (unlikely), just head for TS.

usually that time of the day (6 or 7 pm) they are back filling the parking structure so most likely you will be directed to a floor to look for a space that has been vacated. the good news is that they have new signs that tell you how many space are open in any given row and lights that show you where they are.

not sure what time they change over (or if they still do it this way) but I think they stop preferred parking and open them up for general parking. I've come in several afternoons and found that the cones that they use of block the preferred parking spaces have been put away.

If you look through this thread, the OP said that his friend arrived at M&F at 5 am this past Sunday and wasn't the first car in line! if you've been keeping up with the Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*, you'll know why. People have been walking from the Harbor hotels to arrive in the esplanade around 6:30 am, so I don't think there is such a thing as "too early" any more!
