Lysol

I just don't see anyone boiling one of these things after wiping down their room and they are not exactly disposable so I'm wondering, what's the point of spending all that cash $$ on them for this purpose? :confused3

Far too pragmatic for my own good...

If you go to that stop the stomach flu webpage that was posted on this thread, you will see that Norwex does in fact remove 99% of bacteria from a surface. It doesn't become bacteria free after hanging to dry, but the silver in it helps inhibit growth within the towel. This is why it doesn't stink like a reg wash cloth.

I'm not doubting the research but the Norovirus is a virus, not a bacteria. Plus, what's the 1% it doesn't kill... e coli? Do we want to know? lol

BLECH...... Germs are everywhere we can't avoid them. I do lysol a room when we arrive mostly the bathroom and light switches and the TV remote.
We are going to Universal on Thursday for my grandsons birthday, between him and his sister, I don't know which one will gross me out more by hanging all over the metal bars in the lines and touching everything that they see, no matter how many times we say "there's germs all over that........ Thank God they are healthy and will be able to fight the germs off, hopefully. I carry wet ones wipes and make them wash their hands as much as possible and we hope for the best.......
Don't get too freaked out by the kids. Hopefully, they are building up their immunity by being exposed to those germs. The metal bars and seats in those ride vehicles probably are harboring just as many germs, if not more. However, doesn't it always seem like it's the kids who come home from school sick and then pass it on to everyone else in the family!?!

After an aerosol can leaked all over our luggage (nozzle broke in transit), we started bringing Clorox wipes -- triple bagged (or the travel size packs) and feel they work great to clean surfaces and take up less room.

We also wipe down all the surfaces on an airplane, including arm rests, remote, tray, etc. We never put anything in the seat pockets unless it's bagged (you don't even want to know what we've found in there in the past), and we have a rutine of wiping down everything in a room (hotel or cruise) when we first board -- phones, remote, light switches, counter surfaces, etc. More than once I have seen a hotel worker or room steward clean a counter surface with the same cloth they just used to clean the toilet (ugh). [We also bring paper cups and never use the glass ones and if the ice bucket doesn't have a bag, we use ziploc to get our ice]. Once we started these routines, it has kept us all well on all our trips.
