Awesome luck with the crowds! I'm a teacher so I'll never be able to go for a week during slow time. We are planning on going for a long weekend next December though. I love the idea of having the characters signing the matte. That's so cool!

After that we went to haunted Mansion, gtabbed a FP for Peter Pan along the way, we got in line and did not want to wait 30 min so we just grabbed a FP, after that Tim and I went to Frontierland to go to the pin store and Erin and Russ went on Big Thunder Railroad and splash mountain. while we were in the pin store Tim noticed Donald and it wa a Donald we did not have a picture with before.

After that we headed back towards Peter Pan . Tim and I went into the Philar Magic store while waiting for Erin and Russ to meet up with us. Tim tried a Donald hat on that I tried to get him to wear to the party but he wouldn't.

Tim went back to PP to wait for them and I took some pictures of my castle haha JK wish it was mine lol.

My favorite fountain...Tinkerbell store is being refurbished so that is what that wall is.

I think we left after PP to go check out the room and freshen up for dinner. We left our bags with the bellhop and I put our room number and map inside one of the bags so we went back to the desk abd asked them for our number and Tim asked to see the pin book. He found some donalds he did not have. The girl asked who I collect and I told her I'm trying to start collecting all ariel pins...she told me that I would make a good Ariel lol and that I'm prettier than some she has seen...I could not believe she said that, we started cracking up lol. I told her that was a messed up thing to say. Anyway the Ariel I met was beautiful, I though she made a great Ariel.

Ok so after that we went and got our bags and the guy told us that he would give us a ride in the golf cart. I thought that was so nice. He like took us to out room and grabbed the bags. He was awesome. When we got to the room he like gave us a tour lol and offered to take our picture on the balcony.

The guy left and before he left we tipped him.

OMG the room was gorgeous! I could live here, just Tim and I if they rented these rooms out as an apartment lol. The rooms are very spacious.

The room was spotless..and I love the size of the washer and dryer...they were bigger that the ones we had at our apartment.

I unpacked us while Tim took a nap lol. After I had everything setup Russ and I walked down to the food court to get our resort mugs and check out the food court. On the walk down I noticed the showing rooms where they have models of AKV and BLT. I was like OOOOOH we have to go check them out!!!! So we went in and first walked into AKV models and I was blown away! Russ was like damn Lynn these are nice!!! I also checked out BLT and was BLOWN AWAY!! Seriously they are sooo much nicer in person. Pictures do no justice. I told Russ that I had to bring Tim back. So we filled the cups and as soon as I got in the room I woke Tim up and told him I have to show you the models before we head over to dinner. He was like I don't care Lynn I don't want to go there...he thought that I was going to make him walk over to the the actual AKL lol.

Before we walked over I wanted a pic of our door and Welcome Home matte lol.

Well we went and I took pics this time. Here is the AKV one bedroom model. I told Tim OMG we have to stay in one of these for our anniversary lol. It would be too big for just the 2 of us though..but the bathroom makes is tempting for me to upgrade to the one bedroom instead of the studio.

I was soo happy with having AKV as our home resort...then we went into BLT and I was like OH man I should have waited to buy BLT but oh well...still happy and in love with AKV.Later in the trip we checked out the real AKL and we fell in love with the resort.

Yeah somebody on the boards suggested that i do that for our picture...hopefully in May I can get the rest of the signatures I need.

Hi Lynn! I had read along on your wedding/honeymoon thread, but didn't post. Even though I've been married for many years, I like to browse through the weddings threads. Just let me say that you & Tim had one beautiful wedding! You were a gorgeous bride! The two of you are such a cute couple. Many years of happiness to you! Now for this trip, I was glad to see that the bus service was good at SSR. We're giving it another try in December. Our first time there, the buses were pretty bad. You certainly picked the right time to go -- no crowds!!! Can't wait to see pics of you in your costume for the party & to read your review. I know you said you didn't like it as much as P&PP.

I got the sandals from Hollister, they are comfy. The rooms are gorgeous!

Yes AKV is our home resort...we stayed at SSR with developer points. May we are going to AKV from the 3-12. Can't wait to stay there! I'm on a waitlist for concierge. That would be nice if we get it.

Great update Lynn love the photo's especially the one through the Mickey Head. Both AKV & BLT look great ill have to decide which one I want to pick now as my home resort when we buy into DVC.

I know, with the way the economy is and the fact we're a one income family...it's hard to justify (to my DH anyways!!) but I just know it's in our future (wish it was sooner than later, though!!!). This is our second trip in 16 months with the boys.....so you know there will be MANY more in the years to come and I think it would be perfect!!

Oh well...back to *your* show!!!

Oh, the DVC looks AMAZING!

My dbf and I looked into it, but we DEF. want to be married and well on the way to making student loan payments before we even think about it.

Lynn tell Tim he should have worn the hat. It's him. That would have definately made him Donald's #1 fan for sure. Love the rooms at SSR. I went to a tour there back in 2004. I so wanted to buy DVC back then but of course I wasn't working and only started working one night at week a month ago so DH says later on when I start working full time and the credit cards get down, he'll think about it. I told him we don't have to go to Disney every but I would want to go every other year.

Love your TR and can't wait for more! I have my second trip home, this time at SSR and so thank you so much for the pictures. It is beautiful! Were you happy with your location? I haven't requested an area as of yet. Love the Halloween decorations, they were just starting to put them up when I was there the last week of August.
You will love AKV...I had a 2br for the four of us, niece 12, nephews 14 and 16 and I think it was actually too big for us! But I did love the master bath (Lion King tiles ) and want to book for October 2009 at Kidani.
So funny that Tim mentioned food from Wegmans. We have one here and I love it, my neighbors---husband, wife and daughter all work there .
They have new pretzel rolls in the bakery that remind me of the Biergarten in Germany. Yummy!

Hi Lynn, I followed your link over here from Christina's PJ !!!! I just read through all 14 pages of your TR. Looks like you guys has a great time. I love the darla costume, and Tim's Pins...WOW!!! Thats an awesome Donald you got a picture with, I've never seen him before.

The DVC rooms are beautiful. I have never been to SSR but it looks gorgeous. I have been trying to convince DF to buy in, maybe when we go down for our planning session I will schedule a tour.

Can't wait to read the rest of the TR!!!
