Awesome trip report so far

I totally had never heard about the pumpkin decorating on Main Street before. Now I want to go do it! From the pic it looks like the pumpkins are in the windows in the seating area of the Bakery.

You and Carrie's pics of Frontierland Donald are the first I had seen of him. I've been to MK twice now since seeing them and haven't even made it to Frontierland oh well, eventually I will.

That is such an awesome view of DTD you had at Saratoga!

Can't wait to hear about your MNSSHP experience

Love the room pics. Saratoga looks really nice. We did the DVC tour and I liked AKLV better than BLT. But the location of BLT is going to be a huge selling point. We are not sure if we can buy in or not yet since we would have to finance most of it. i would love to though at either resort.

Got all caught up on your TR tonight and loving it so far! I can't wait to hear more. I can't believe all those donald pins! We are big pin collectors too, but it isn't one specific thing with us...although when we are in the parks I look for as many Cinderella pins as I can find. Our pins kept outgrowing those books so we finally stopped putting them in the books and just bought a big cork board. Its hanging in our spare bedroom so its nice to see our disney pins on display instead of having them in the books that we never looked at. Congrats on dvc...how exciting! Can't wait to hear more!

Great update Lynn love the photo's especially the one through the Mickey Head. Both AKV & BLT look great ill have to decide which one I want to pick now as my home resort when we buy into DVC.

Everybody does the shot though the Mickey head when they stay at SSR LOL. I got the idea off the DIS.

Good luck trying to decide where you want your home resort to be!

I know, with the way the economy is and the fact we're a one income family...it's hard to justify (to my DH anyways!!) but I just know it's in our future (wish it was sooner than later, though!!!). This is our second trip in 16 months with the boys.....so you know there will be MANY more in the years to come and I think it would be perfect!!

Lynn tell Tim he should have worn the hat. It's him. That would have definately made him Donald's #1 fan for sure. Love the rooms at SSR. I went to a tour there back in 2004. I so wanted to buy DVC back then but of course I wasn't working and only started working one night at week a month ago so DH says later on when I start working full time and the credit cards get down, he'll think about it. I told him we don't have to go to Disney every but I would want to go every other year.

Love your TR and can't wait for more! I have my second trip home, this time at SSR and so thank you so much for the pictures. It is beautiful! Were you happy with your location? I haven't requested an area as of yet. Love the Halloween decorations, they were just starting to put them up when I was there the last week of August.
You will love AKV...I had a 2br for the four of us, niece 12, nephews 14 and 16 and I think it was actually too big for us! But I did love the master bath (Lion King tiles ) and want to book for October 2009 at Kidani.
So funny that Tim mentioned food from Wegmans. We have one here and I love it, my neighbors---husband, wife and daughter all work there .
They have new pretzel rolls in the bakery that remind me of the Biergarten in Germany. Yummy!

Yes I was soooo happy with the location! It was perfect!

I can not wait to stay at AKV! Do you think a 2br will be big enough for 6 adults and 2 kids??

Hi Lynn, I followed your link over here from Christina's PJ !!!! I just read through all 14 pages of your TR. Looks like you guys has a great time. I love the darla costume, and Tim's Pins...WOW!!! Thats an awesome Donald you got a picture with, I've never seen him before.

The DVC rooms are beautiful. I have never been to SSR but it looks gorgeous. I have been trying to convince DF to buy in, maybe when we go down for our planning session I will schedule a tour.

Can't wait to read the rest of the TR!!!

You asked was a 2 bedrooms big enough for 6 adults & 2 childrens ?
Well I bboked a 2 bedrooms at AKL this past august and we were 8 adults ans had plenty of places ( we did for 1 night prior to a DCL ) it was big enough but the only thing was 2 adults let's say a week on sofa / sleeper in living room would have been a bit rough on them ...but on childrens ( being they are smaller ...) quite good !

I love your trip report, I have seen your posts off and on for a while and you commented on my mini-trip report on our get away in Sept. I started one and then got home and never finished it. I opened a new DQ Grill & Chill when we returned and I was swamped. You are very committed. We also own DVC and really feel like we made the right choice. We love AKV. We stayed at the BWV for our Mommy and Daddy get away, I would love to buy a small 50pt. contract some day when we pay off the AKV contract.

I am going in Jan. for my 40th birthday. Maybe I will try a trip report again.

I can't wait to see your Darla costume, that was pure genius.
