Little Intermission To Go Over Cosmetic Products
Okay, so most of my products are Dior and Clinique. I know... one end of the spectrum to the next---but I'm oddly sensitive to certain fragrances (and very oily) and I've found my niche

I also dabble at Sephora and Ulta... but I'm pretty loyal to Dior... mostly because I've worked for them for a longgg time.
I didn't have a plan, nor had I practiced. I just sat down with a cup of tea and started "painting."
Face Wash: Clinique Acne Solutions with Clarisonic Deep Pore Brush
Toner: Clinique Clarifying Lotion #4
Serum: Clinique Turnaround
Moisturizer: Clinique Zero Gravity Oily/Combo
Eye Creme: Dior L'or de Vie (this is my splurge but it has been amazing and I haven't found better. I will use this forever. $195/$165-refill)
Wedding Day Makeup:
First Layer of Foundation: Diorskin Nude #40
---This is my favorite foundation on the market. It's a mineral liquid that is light, gives good coverage, and the more you wear it--the more even your skintone will be. It's water based and very good for your skin. I despise makeup primers and if I choose to layer for an occasion--I put this one on first.
Foundation: Dior Airflash 400
---There's multiple ways to apply--but the best by far is to spray a little on a flat head brush and put on in circlular motions airbrushing it into the skin. It gives the most flawless finish I've ever seen. I sell a TON of this stuff--people love it. I'm fairly sensitive to something in it--which is why I layer--it's not directly touching my skin--and I ALWAYS wash it off really well.
Powder: Diorskin Forever Powder #40
---This I use for setting the foundation. I'm very oily so I have to make sure it all stays. I put it on with a Bare Minerals Foundation Brush... I just like how it goes on with it. I carried this for touch ups.
Blush: Dior Rose Brazalia and Bare Minerals Rose Radience
---I did a contour with the Rose Brazalia where you would do a fish face. It's a blush with a touch of bronzer in it so it looks natural. I put the Rose Radience on the natural cheekbone because it has a sheen for a nice glow.
Eyeliner: Dior Trinidad Black Waterproof Eyeliner
---I swear by Dior Waterproof Eyeliners. They are expensive--but they do not move. They have the kind that you sharpen, or automatic. I'm old school and use the sharpen one--it's called Trinidad Black. If you french rim or tight-line, it is able to go in the inside and will stay all day!! My best tip for eyeliner that won't run---put a little eyeshadow over/underneath it!! It will not only look amazing, but the powder will set it and keep it from moving!
Eyebrows: Dior Universal Brow Styler
---BEST BROW PENCIL EVER. You must try for yourself. It's small and mimics drawing little hairs, unlike a pencil. My brows were accidentally waxed off when I was 18 by a friend in school, lol--they are very sparse and I rely on this pencil everyday!!
Eyeshadow: Dior Smoky Design 5-Color Designer Palette
---I've dreamed of using this palette for my wedding since it came out. I use it a lot for events and such. My account executive bought me a brand new one for my engagement so I could have a new one on my day instead of my beat up tester

It includes a sparkle top coat and a gel potted eyeliner. I use a small rounded brush in the eyeliner and really smoke up the outer corners of my eyes. I didn't use much of the sparkle because I didn't want my eyes to look like a mirror in pictures. Even though it's fabulous in person--photos hate the sheen.
Lipliner: Dior Heather Rose
---Waterproof, doesn't move, my everyday, tried and true love. It has a little pearl to it and fills in lines you have on your lips!
Lipstick: Clinique Butter Shine Raspberry Rush
---I wish I would have went darker, but I packed it before I got so tan. I hate the feel of lipstick, so I like the ones that have a little gloss built in. The lipliner holds it and it felt great!
Makeup Setting Spray: Urban Decay De-Slick
---I think this worked okay... I can't really tell. Previous times I've used it it's been good. We were out in the sun, wind and heat, lol---we'll see when Jason's pictures come back, lol. It does make me itchy... but sometimes you have to suffer to be fabulous, lol.
Eye Shadow Base: Clinique Touch Base in Nude Rose
---I've tried them all--this is my favorite. It dries out quick, but it's only $15 so I don't mind... it works!!
Eyelashes: Ardell... I don't remember the style. They were longer on the ends.
---I've had luck with their lashes. I normally do the individuals, but was too nervous. I also had a separate Ardell Glue.
Mascara: Maybelline Full and Soft & Clinique High Lengths
---Lol--I tried almost 30 mascaras leading up to the day. I took 8 different kinds with me. I used the Maybelline Full and Soft to blend my lashes with the fakes... felt like it needed a little more umph and added a bit of Clinique High Lengths. The brush on the Clinique one is super funky--but it was just what I needed to make the blending perfect.
Concealer: Dior Skinflash #003
---This magical little pen saves me alll the time. It has a touch of skincare in it and really depuffs and tightens. I like to use it under my eyes, around my lips to keep my lipliner/lipstick on, and on the sides of my nose where I get redness. It's not heavy and does more light reflecting than covering. Sometimes a heavy concealer looks worse than not covering your issue at all. That's why I LOVE this little guy! This is one of my top selling items too!!
And just for fun:
Body Care: Clarins Toning Oil
Hair Product: Big Sexy Hair - Root Pump Plus (only thing that fights humidity for me!)
Hair Color: Natural Instincts Creme - Dark Auburn
Hair Treatment: Fekkai Color Mask -- LOVE THIS STUFF!!
Nail Color: OPI for Sephora -- the name had "flower" in it... but it's too runny and sheer... I won't buy it again. My friends complained about theirs too.
And if I haven't stressed it enough to future brides....
You NEED the Clarisonic!!!
I also took about 40-50 brushes with me. I'm crazy about my brushes. Invest in good ones. Dior, Chanel, Lancome, MAC, Sephora, Bare Minerals, etc..... actually I take that back about Chanel--they shed on me really bad and are kind of rough. Brushes really do a lot for your makeup--if you put it on with a crappy brush... it'll look crappy.
Here are my faves:
Philosophy: Airbrush Foundation Brush
Dior: Cheek, Powder Foundation Flathead, Medium&Large Eyeshadow, Eyeliner
Sephora: Most Eyeshadow Brushes, Airbrush Concealer
Bare Minerals: Flawless Application Face Brush, Heavenly Face Brush
Okay... well that's what I remember, lol. So hopefully this helps someone, or feeds to a cosmetic addiction, lol. Some days I think it's funny that I really believe in this stuff--but I do--I love it!!
