LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

OMG how exciting?! I'm going to have to talk to you about the whole renting points thing? I'm kinda intrigued by this. Even though we plan on purchasing a DVC in the future, but right now I can just rent and enjoy as well. Haha.

I'm so stoked for you! I'll let you know how DisneyLand is when we go in a week or so! =] I'm stoked. Just wish we had more time. Wah.

yeah, renting is pretty awesome. i can't wait to hear about your trip!!

Ugh--- first, I'm so sorry about the hot water heater. Boys just don't get it sometimes. Or ever. :grouphug: So glad you got a shower!

And WOO!!!! DISNEYLAND!!!!!!! I am so excited for you!!!!

I love showers, lol. I'm super pumped!!!!

I think if you're born with a weewee then you have no sense of urgency whatsoever! (unless it has to do with said weewee! :lmao:) QUOTE]

I think this is the funniest thing I've read all day! :lmao:

Deena, you poor, sweet, busy, beautiful, (clean!), stressed girl.
Sorry so much went to crap on you. I'm glad it all got fixed// worked out! :woohoo:

I've been looking at the countdown when I'm not on here in a matter of days- which can be daunting, but when you wrote about "a month and xxx days" I about had a panic attack! THERE'S SO MUCH LEFT TO DO!!!! :scared1: My breathing is still a little funny right now. It does make me feel better though that I'm not the only one freaking out. But you know what? I know both our days will be AWESOME.

I have no clue where our RD is STILL (thanks to dear FMIL) but I want to come stalk your Wedding! I might have to at least do a 'drive by' LOL. :rolleyes1

Congrats on the awesome shirts, DF being so supportive, and getting a shower. :thumbsup2

I thought that quote was HILARIOUS!! I have noticed everyone coming up has been ratherrrrr quiet--cuz we're crazy right now!! I'm glad it's all calming down a bit. I hope your RD stuff gets sorted out soon!! Drive by members be at the Poly beach at 1pm, lol.

Yay!! We went to Disneyland in 2007 and stayed at the Grand Californian before there was a DVC there- it is just gorgeous, you will love it!!! The Mandara Spa there is amazing as well, you'll have to get a couples massage! You are getting so close now!! So happy it's all coming together for you!! :goodvibes

I can't wait!! I forgot Mandara was there.... mmmm Mandara. Thanks for reading along!! I'm so happy that it's getting close--it's getting really exciting!!

I have been a major lurker on your PJ! And I just realized that I live right across the river from you! So Hi! :wave2:

I had to come out of lurking to ask you about your shirts that you made!! Where did you get your templates from? And did you use iron on transfers for them? I loved them and want to make some of them if you don't mind me stealing the idea..Lol.

Hi neighbor!! I work downtown on weekdays so I'm on the same side for half the day :) I'm sure my drive tomorrow will be a treat with Obama in town  I did use the Avery transfers for light shirts--it was super easy!! I googled the disney font and downloaded it, and I googled the image. I put it in publisher (or word) and flipped the image to print on the paper. I made sure to do lots of pressure on with the iron and let them cool for a while. After they were cool, I used Jewel glue to put the rhinestones on :) It was fun!! Let me know if there's anything else I can help with!!

I think you did excellent sticking to the budget considering it includes your HM too. I tell DF our wedding will cost 12000 but I think it is more like 15000 but what he doesn't know won't hurt her. That doesn't include anything for the honeymoon.

I hope you can get DF to get his you know what in gear. I hate when they move like turtles!!! Terrible time management in this house for sure!!!

Yeah... I think I put some major fear in him last Saturday--he's been amazing since!!! I'm glad we're not far over budget :) We did decide our real honeymoon will be Disneyland in Jan/Feb... but it won't be crazy expensive :) I'm excited to go somewhere new!!

Ooh! Can I join in on the "drive by"??

um yes... 1pm... be there, lol!!

Suit being altered: Check
Notary: The guy left early yesterday :( Hopefully his softball rains out tomorrow and we can try again.
Disneyland GCV Rooms: Paid in full
Rev Jack Day: Approved our ceremony

Need: Dogsitter, Notary, My dress, finish paying for YC, buy APs, DFTW final payment, another round of tooth whitening, haircut, hair color, loose ends for party.

Not too much happening right now... just trying to make money, and watching it fly out of my account. I'm overly pumped and doing research about Disneyland so I've been focusing on that while waiting on a few other things to fall into place. I really can't believe how close I am!! The weeks are just flying!!! Dave is excited too--it's really fun to focus on a new experience!!

I hope everyone is doing well, I feel like I've lost touch a bit, but will try to catch up soon!!

How about an auto tag place for your notary; ours has a notary and they are open at night & weekends

I'm a little late in joining your PJ: Congratulations!
LOL, I know exactly what you're going through. I've got just 2 weeks to go  just a heads up in case you don't know already, but your bank or credit union will have a notary. As I work at a bank, I just had to decide which one to ask! Luckily a dear friend/co-worker was downright honored to notarize our application.:goodvibes

OH. MY. GOSH!!!!!!!!! Wow!! How on earth do you manage to put up with all that rubbish from both of your families????????

I read one of your dining reports once and saw that you were doing a wedding report so thought I would read (already married but love reading about disney weddings) as my maternity leave has started and have just caught up now.

Reading along I was so so pleased when you changed to this year on your own. Besides having kids, this is the most important day of YOUR lives and no one elses. My heart goes out to you for all the drama you have had to put up with. And paying for it by yourself is amazing :worship:.

You will have a brilliant time while you are there, doing what you want, getting married how you want and just getting to spend time with your DF then DH.

Hope the rest of the planning and saving go well and that the families come through with decent gifts ($$$ rather than presents!!).

Also, please please, please keep writing about this and the trip and wedding (and dining too if you have time!!) as I have really enjoyed reading and would love to see/hear how it all turns out.

Going to see my DD now who is at the park with my mum so leaving you with lots and lots of pixie dust :tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker::tinker:

It will just go faster from here! I'm so excited for you and can't wait to see how it all unfolds! :goodvibes

It is going quickly.... I'm at 6 weeks and 6 days now :scared1: I think the 6 weeks thing has me ready to choke, lol. I know it's starting to go reallllllly quickly!

I'll have to check that out!! Good call!!

Well we only have Sunday nights and some Tuesday nights together. No business hours that the UPS Store or banks have. There is a bank inside the grocery store that is open till 8... but we keep missing the notary when we're available. We unfortunately don't have jobs that we can leave during the day :( I really just want it to be done!!

Thanks for joining!! I guess I always had a difficult family... then adding one more person to the mix was nothing :lmao: I honestly feel that if we still had the wedding next year that I would get very very sick from the stress. I'm so happy that it's so close!! Don't worry about me reporting :) I'm always here to report the news!!

Just checking in. I can't believe you & Dave are going to Disneyland!!! Yeah!!!!!! That is so cool that you got a good deal.

Things are really moving along now! Okay, I need to know what shoes you are wearing!!!!!!!! I've been searching every shoe site out there and cannot find the perfect Poly beach sandals. I was really hoping for a t strap with a flower.

I hear ya on the notary. I had the same problem on Tuesday. My other half rushed home from work to go to this notary that just somebody's house and they were closed. I did find out our local UPS store does notarize so we are going tomorrow. I'm finding that notary people only work a few hours a day.

Have a great weekend!!!

Hi Deena! I have been away for a bit so I had a lot to catch up on. lol. So sorry about the water heater and all the stress you had to go through!

But woohoo for Disneyland! I know it's your honeymoon but I would love to try to meet up with you when you're out here. :D You are going to love the Grand! I usually stay there every year for my bday but I didn't this year; this year we stayed off property to try to save money .... blech! Never again! I'm so spoiled by the Grand.

If you lived in CA I would notarize your license for you. :( There are traveling notaries but they usually charge an arm and a leg ... but maybe you could find someone who is sympathetic to your situation. :goodvibes

I need to take pix of the shoes.... but they are white platform wedge flip flops with rhinestones. I spent hours looking for shoes, trying to justify the cost because the sand would be rough on them.... and wonder if I'll be able to trek around for pictures.... nope--I think I made a good call!! We are going to try to see the notary tonight... and tomorrow at the latest!! Hope things are coming along for you!!!

Hey girl hey :) It's been a wild ride the past few weeks... but the only thing I can think about is Disneyland!!! I'm so freaking excited to go! We should meet up for sure!! I need to call to be sure the notary is there tonight--it's stressing me out, lol. But thanks for the offer if I was in CA!

Yo. Happy Monday. Cincinnati is flooded and it took over an hour to drive 10 miles today. This weekend blew by so quickly because I had reallllllly long shifts and basically passed out as soon as I got home. Had a few talks with different parts of the family. Basically I need to cut at least 2500 out of our budget immediately. Those who promised to help are either not helping, or only helped 10% of their promised amounts. If you say, "I'm going to give you $1000"--do not send $200 and say "hope this helps." I know I should be thankful for anything--but when someone is planning and banking on family help because they said they would--6 weeks prior is a bad time for this to happen. I'm livid, and stressed, and the fact that I have no mascara on means that I plan to continue to cry all day. DF doesn't understand. I figured if we replaced 1 or 2 of the more expensive meals that it would help, only me getting the AP and him getting tickets, canceling the cake and just heading to the park, cancel my spa, cancel his jungle trek.... except for he lost his mind in ways I can't explain when I suggested we cancel his Jungle Trek. I told him it would be there--but he insists on going. Another option is to drop to Coronado on the YC part of our stay--which I REALLY don't want to do. Today I have my calculator and my spreadsheet up--and I need to see what kind of magic I can work.

Hopefully we can get the notary tonight. Also dinner with FMIL. She wants to know tonight how much she needs for food for the party. Umm... only 8 ppl have RSVPd so far, and that includes DF and me, her, the brother, and a 2 couples of his family----soooo yeah---until more RSVPs come in--calm down--relax--breathe. God grant me the patience to deal with her AND my budget today.

I know I'm behind on pictures of stuff, but it's been too crazy. I hope I can get to it soon, but I don't know when soon is. As much as I would love to stay and chat--I have work to do and I'm in a terrible mood. I should have just expected this to happen. There of course is more to the story when it comes to family that is throwing gasoline on the flame--but this isn't the time nor the place to get into it.

I hope everyone has a fantastic week!! I leave 6 weeks from Wednesday and will be married 6 weeks from Thursday!! :wizard:

Ugh, sorry you have to deal with this frustration! I definitely know what you mean - at this point it's not your fault and you're not being ungrateful by getting upset, because once someone has committed to something you should be able to count on it! Good luck and hopefully your budget will get straightened out.

6 weeks will soon come round :goodvibes

I don't think your being ungrateful at all. If people have committed to helping you they should keep their word, or at least not commit in the first place. I hope you manage to find a way to cut your budget x

heres some pixie dust & hugs to try an lighten your terrible mood :hug:pixiedust:  pixiedust:

Poo on the people who can't keep their budget commitments. :crazy2: Hopefully you can work some budget magic and figure it all out.

Yay for being 6 weeks away! :goodvibes

Ugh that really blows about the money issue. :( I would be livid, too. Please let us know if you want us to help cut out some of your spendings--- we're really good with that here, as you know! <3

So sorry to hear about your budget troubles!! :confused3 Especially if you were banking on money that was promised to you!

Glad to see you are getting lots done despite all of the drama!!

Just think!! 6 more weeks and dinner with me at Ohana!!!! :woohoo:

Hey! I know how you feel about funds not being there that you were counting on...and it TOOOTTAAAALLLYYY stinks! Hopefully you were able to cut a few things to make it work. Cant wait to hear all about it.

Just think 6 weeks from now, itll all be frivelous and we'll be almost married!! It will all work out, Deena girl!

6 weeks will soon come round :goodvibes

Well I have made a couple cuts... more on that in a few!

MMM Ohana. I've even been stalking ADRs to try to eat there more than once, lol. So yummy!!

It's all making me go crazyyyyyy. Lol... 6 weeks from Saturday I'll hopefully be at Mandara getting all this stress off of me, Most people go before the wedding... I'm going the night before we leave... then 2 days after

Okay--Crazy, Mantic, Frantic, Frazzled Bride Checking in for Duty.

My boss looked at me yesterday while I was doing 4 things at once and just said, "I don't know how you handle both jobs, this party and wedding---you hold it together somehow and I don't know how you do it." I just looked at her and said that I didn't know either :lmao:

My kitchen table is full of black and silver party supplies, favors that need stuffed and ribboned. I have 10 people RSVP'd, lol out of 60--which includes me, DF, FMIL, FBIL, 2 sets of aunt/uncle on his side, and 2 cousins on his side. So far it looks to be unsuccessful. FMIL keeps hounding me about the food--but until more RSVPs come in--I have no clue what we need.

Marriage license is notarized and along with ID copies and the check... in the mail. Hopefully we get it back soon. How long did it take yours to come back?

Budget Cut #1: This may seem assinine--but it's working for us. I did NOT want to lose the YC-CL... so I took the last night off and rented a 1BR villa at OKW. It's only for the last night, we got to add the dining plan on--and it seems like a win because it saved us about $300 in all. Not much... but something! It's a 3 hotel split which is nuts--but it could be fun!

Budget Cut #2: I was going to get acrylics on before I left... but my nails have grown out so nicely that I'm afraid they'll ruin them. I'm not much on the shellac since I saw it hurt some of my friends nails... so as tacky as it sounds... I think I'll probably just get a pedi... then use the french glue ons the day of--they never hurt my nails and will come right off with no problems. Really... I just need them on for pictures. I also like them because they're flatter and don't look as thick on me. So that's a savings of $50ish.

Budget Cut #3: Although it's not savvy in the long run--Only I will get the AP, and he will get tickets. If we have leftover $$ at the end, we will upgrade him. Lots of savings here.

Budget Cut #4: I canceled our slipper dessert and cake. The cake lady and I weren't seeing eye to eye anyway.... so it's just as well--rather than me being mad when it's not what I wanted.

I called David's Bridal yesterday. I asked about my dress and they said "worst case scenario it would be in on Nov 7" :scared1: I was almost positive when I ordered they said Nov 1. This makes me want to vomit. I am crossing my fingers that this does not happen. It hasn't shipped yet and she said she'd call as soon as it's in.

I know I owe you guys pictures--but honestly--I can't get to them right now :(

I desperately want to lose 20 pounds--I thought that I would be okay where I am... but I want the weight out of my face--and I want my rings to not sufficate me. Something made me fiercely sick last night and this morning... so I already feel like I have a jump start :rolleyes1 I don't even want to look at food right now... yay! It's only 6 weeks--and if I stay this stressed--it should be fine.

I'm moving ADRs around today--we've second guessed a few choices for this trip--so I'm making adjustments.

Next week we pay off DFTW... so that's out of the way. At least we can get married :rotfl:

Sigh... It's taken me over an hour to write this. I am getting pulled in 18 different directions at work and it's taking a toll on me. They let people go, people leave, my friend died... and they didn't replace any of them. They just keep "cross training" me in more and more and my capacity is overloaded with no extra pay. I just don't need another item on my plate right now!

Well I have 1000000000 things to do so I better go. I thought my to-do list was dwindling... now it just keeps getting bigger. 6 weeks from today!!

Wow, you really do have a lot of things on your plate!!! Try to stay positive! And try to enjoy these next 6 weeks!!! :)

As far as your question about the marriage license, it didn't take very long for ours to come in. Just a couple weeks after we sent everything in.

Oh, Deena! :hug::hug:

So sorry that you are having even more stress than usual. That stinks. Hope that it calms down soon.

On the bright side, 6 weeks from today you will be married!!! Just wish it was early enough in the day for me to stalk it before my cruise. :)

Hope everything is smooth sailing from here on out.

I just wanted to give you some piece of mind over the press on nails... I had them for our e-pics to save some money and in the pictures they looked great! I had the same feelings as you, they didn't look so thick. Just be sure to put an extra for each finger in your clutch and your nail glue!
