LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

If you're only about $300 away from a Wishes wedding, then I'd say do that one! You can customize more to what you want, and you get your planning session! And don't let the title of the kind of wedding it is make you have to invite people! Let it be just you and Dave! Oh, and if you want a DisBride stalker/friend there, let me know...I live right behind the MK!

I say go with your Wishes "elopement" plan and plan EXACTLY what you want as fiscally soundly as you can...if you are going to spend the same money for your customized Escape package, it sounds like you'd be better off doing the Wishes thing and really get it specific to your wishlist. Just tell everyone you decided to elope with the smallest package and guests aren't part of that. You are not being selfish...from what you've described you are trying to prevent several (justifiable) homicides at your wedding!!

And that way, the window is still open if you decide later to invite a VERY select few guests that will make you happy and support you.

I'm so sorry your dad isn't there to help you with this mess. He sounds very strong and special.

Hang in there. I'm so glad you guys had a nice time, despite the heat and humidity...

Brooke

I say do it right and get exactly what you want. If you dont want the cat-freak lady there...dont invite her..how does dave feel about that? It sounds like youre more content with it being just the two of you, and if thats the case DO IT! If Dave is anything like Bobby, which he seems to be right in line..he probably doesnt really care about much. He just wants to marry you. So since you are the one that cares, then get what you want..and if you have to pull the "im paying for this" card, do it. Make yourself happy and Dave will be happy too..it sounds like. Unless Ive totally misunderstood I think youre good to go to make the decision..Bobby is a decision avoider too..esp with wedding stuff..its frustrating!! Anyways, I know what you mean about your family and at the end of the day you need to do what will make you happy and what you can live with forever, whatever that may be.

As far as memories, escape, wishes, I say go with whatever will get you exactly what you want..if you are really that close to both of them to get what you want bump it to wishes..youll get the PS and everything else too! You wont spend on stupid stuff you wont use..photos, cuvee, etc.

D- this is your dream wedding, so live it up and get what you want. If someone doesnt agree or support you then to heck with them! They dont deserve to be there anyway! You work your booty off and deserve everything you want..so DO IT! If youre happy everyone else will have to be too! :cutie:

Hope this helps..I really want you to get what you want! I know you'll make the right choice for you and Dave.

Oh and I checked out your FB photos...they look awesome! I love the black dress you wore..I need one!! Looks like so much fun, and yes Lilly is ADORABLE!!:lovestruc

Yesssssss that all sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do it. Now. Or else. :lmao:

K! I will, lol!!

It all seriously sounds amazing girl! No matter what I'm sure it'll be gorgeous!

What's the price for Cindy's castle anyways? And do you mind me asking the extra bonuses that you get with Wishes that you wouldn't get with Escape? (I'm not 100% sure. hehe. =X)

BTW, I'm super jealous of the sound of your aisle runner. I want one so badly. But I have a feeling it's not going to happen. WAH.

But honestly it all sounds fabulous and I think that sounds like the best plan yet.

And don't worry... I'll find myself a nice and comfy bush and pop out when the petal cannons go off! hah. I'll be a Jen-cannon! ;D Plus I'm FREE! =P <3

Well the Escape package for the WP is 5750, and it comes with a cake, cake topper, champagne, a violinist, an organist, 4 hours of limo, DPS photography and a small album, a bouquet and a bout. I don't need 4 hours of limo (I probably need a one way town car), the champagne because I'm picky and I don't need the DPS photographer. So althought that package price looks nice... it consists of mess that I don't need, therefore costing me more money once I add my enhancements. So stay tuned below to see what Dave says :) Oh and the carriage is $2700 (maybe more for 2012?).... but I'd rather have that then junk I don't need!!

I personally agree!! I want to live behind the MK!! I'm so jealous!!

Thank you for your words!! I am sure I'll have to come up with a good story, lol!! Of course we'll have the option to change later which puts me at ease :)

you're just the best :cutie: we think alike and apparently our DFs think alike too!! i think he's warming up to the idea of just us... and i am loving it!!

Oh and I checked out your FB photos...they look awesome! I love the black dress you wore..I need one!! Looks like so much fun, and yes Lilly is ADORABLE!!:lovestruc

i realized when i put them up that there's like a million animals, lol. so that fancy pants dress i was wearing was on sale at k-mart for $12  and the other "cheaper" looking one was there too for $9  i ran in to get dog food one night after work and was like... hmmmm they're not bad!! they were sooooooo comfy!! we were on our way to shula's on the bus and i decided we should do a photo shoot, lol!! i'm pretty sure i'm going to live in those dresses all summer!! oh lilly... i sat there for an hour the one day while she was chasing a duck--it was hilarious. just precious!!

OH! I got my companion flight pin code last night!! I did the online thing today and should have the voucher within 2 weeks!! Did you get yours?

Soooooooooooo!!! Good News!! Between jobs I called home to my aunt. Just checking in, told her about our trip, then cornered her into listening to me for a minute, lol. I explained what we were about to speak about was confidential  I asked her if she would be dissappointed if we didn't have guests at our wedding. She asked why we would want that, and I pretty much explained everything I've said here including financial figures. She said she 100% agreed with me and that it's insane for me to spend my money on that for guests who won't even appreciate it. She said we would have a much better time by ourselves and no one would bother us. She said if we had guests, she'd be there, but she feels like I have the better plan!! I couldn't believe my ears--this was going so well. I was on Cloud 9. I told her to keep it to herself until I broke it to the rest. She told me I'm not being selfish and I can't worry about what they say about my decision. She said she would help as much as she could and I told her I appreciated that.

Soooo after work I couldn't wait to tell Dave all of my day's research and about the phone call! He got in from softball at 11, and had a touch of beer in him so I knew he would be kind and understanding :rotfl: I told him about my aunt's conversation and he was amazing and happy. If the most un-reasonable woman in the world thinks we're going the right thing... it must really be right, lol!! Then I told him about the package costs. He said that Wishes was the clear choice and that I need to try to get Perry the Playpus there. I couldn't make any promises I told him :sad2: I finally saw him excited about us being able to do things we previously weren't going to be able to afford easily and I'm so happy right now!! So as of now... we're looking at the Wedding Pavilion at 10am on November 5th. My plan is to stay right at 10,000 and I don't think it'll be crazy hard to do even with a lot of extras. He agreed with my thoughts on needing to book now and get vendor deposits in during 2011 before price hikes. Finally... things are going right!! Thanks to everyone who's stuck with me throught all of this!! I know I'm a bit of a nut, but it's a real life story of an indecisive bride, lol! Dave loves the idea of a private lunch together... I just need to find a spot, lol.

So it's all beginning!! My to-do list over the next 7 weeks includes:

Looking at locations for a Lunch
Putting my wedding bands on Lay-a-way
Find a plan for hair/makeup
Re-assess my dress situation and maybe look around a bit
Get in contact with Misty
Book a One Bedroom Lake View at Bay Lake Tower at the end of June
Check in with Rev Jack Day
Contact Carolyn Allen's

Okay... I have a massive project at work and I'm avoiding it. There's 879 items and I'm on 14. Must get moving, lol. Hope all is well with everyone!! Happy Thursday!!

:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug: SO GLAD EVERYTHING IS TURNING UP!! It will all work out and you will get the wedding of your dreams, come hell or highwater! :goodvibes So happy for you! :cool1::cool1:

I am so, so, so, so, sooooo happy for you girlie! Things are turning up for you and I can't be any happier for you!!

Misty is AMAZING I love her work! If we.. noo.. WHEN.. we do our vow renewal down there she is going to my photographer hands down! No questions asked! So jealous you can have her as a photog! wah! ha. =P

And I didn't realize all the pricing and stuff like that with the two different packages.. I never really searched into it or did you have to request that information?

And seriously.. $2700 for the frikkin carriage?! I say DO IT! =] I know I would! ha. Especially if it's going to be the 2 of you! Who wants a freaking limo when you can hi-jack Cindy's carriage for a day?!!

Loves you girlie and so happy to hear about it all working out!

It's Tuesday... It's dreary and depressing out... but I feel like I should update incase a tornado takes my power between now and Friday. At least thats what the weathermen say is going to happen. Yeesh... I keep looking at pictures from Joplin and they are just devastating :( They think it could spread over here this week--okay I'm secretly, really freaking out.

So 6 weeks from today... is my 16 month mark. I have no idea beside the Wedding Pavilion at 10:00am with hopes of a MK shoot that morning. I've been taking suggestions on the main board, but more are always welcome. As of now, I would like to ask if we can have a private little setup for cake, lunch and the Mice at Sago Cay. Then maybe that night have a private Illuminations dinner with a Disney photographer... maybe. Dave doesn't want to stay in his tux all day... so maybe the Illuminations dinner will be a good time for that Alfred Angelo Black and Charcoal dress I love :lovestruc ?? Does that sound okay??? Or is it boring?? Am I missing something super cool that could be done?? I did love the idea of a fireworks cruise... but it's so brrrr chilly on November nights that I'm nervous it'll be worse out on the water. Can you see me in a dress and Ugg boots?

I asked my loving DF about the carriage.. and it didn't go well  Apparently I crossed a line there, lol. I told him we needed something to meet the minimum... so he asked why we weren't doing Escape... I AGAIN explained that the Escape would be just as expensive, but with stuff we don't need. It's exhausting to keep going thru this, lol.

I feel like I'll be able to dedicate the next few months to the wedding since Grey's, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives and NCIS are all over... and American Idol and Khloe and Lamar end this week. It's all very depressing for me... so the wedding can be my filler

Okay... so ideas... what do you think about lunch and dinner for us??

I like the idea of a cruise, but agree with the chilly factor. Have you thought about V&A's? I hear its the best thing since sliced bread and it NEVER disapoints, it might be worth some research?! :confused3 I like the idea of the two of you having a private and romantic dinner alone celebrating your marriage..so sweet! :lovestruc I see your dilemma though, with so many options it will be tough to find the perfect one to fit your dream! Happy hunting, Im sure you will find something! :cutie:

Boys just don't get it about the carriage! ;D My Dave doesn't either! Or my mother for that matter. Wah. Ha!

But I definitely think a private lunch for the two of you would be uber romantic! I'd even ask a planner if they had any suggestions for you? They may know of somewhere super cool or super private yanno? And definitely will be uber chilly out if you were to do the cruise.. Hmm.. what else could you possibly do? I'll have to get my brain-a-thinking! haha.

I'll keep you in my thoughts girl! I'd secretly be freaking out as well! And definitely more time for wedding planning now! hehe. =] Crazy how TV shows can take over our lives! lol

I agree with a catered private lunch and think a private illuminations dinner are great. Plus - they will both count toward your minimum expenditure. How much more do you need to spend to hit $10k? I think you'll be really close with the ceremony, mice, lunch, dinner, MK shoot, and floral. Could you add on Disney videography and stream the ceremony online for your friends/family? V&A's is lovely - but won't count toward the min expenditure.

ETA: uh oh...I was just reading passporters and it says wishes is for 10+ people? Maybe reach out to your consultant to confirm that they will allow a wishes style elopement? I can't understand why they wouldn't if you are meeting the minimums.

Hmm, I was thinking--- have you looked at that thread Carrie made awhile ago about planning an anniversary dinner at the Tower of Terror courtyard? Maybe you could do something like that--- that would be AMAZING!!!!!

My DF actually said I could have the coach---- if we had $3,000 to spend for a half hour. Alas, we do not! :rotfl2:

:) Well I've done a little research on V&As... and I can see how my experience would go, lol. "Um, hi... I only eat steak (no sauce), shrimp, crab legs, chicken fingers, mashed potatoes, french fries, bread (i prefer sourdough) and chocolate gelato---can you help me?" Being a non-adventurer... I would have a rough time there, lol. I would ask for the kids menu, but they're not allowed there :lmao:

My head feels like I'm on the teacups from all this!! Hopefully I get it all figured out soon :) I love my TV, I normally only watch Friday and Saturday nights when Dave's at work--I catch up on all my DVR :)

Well I finally got the nerve to send off an email to my coordinator. I have been waiting because I have no idea what to say. I'm so lostttttttt. So that's basically what I said, lol. I had a couple questions in there, but basically a cry for help, lol. Of course the Out of Office from May 12-26 came back. I had to write on May 24 so I'm only 12 days into the emails he'll get when he gets back :( Hurry up and wait, lol--story of our lives.

Anywho... I think I'm pretty close, if not on the dot if I do lunch and dinner.

Yeah... I saw that--super cool!! I just can't figure out where :rotfl: The only place Dave ever mentioned wanting to do something is Swan Boat Landing which is impossible. The only time he wants to help, his suggestion doesn't work, lol.

So I guess we'll wait and see! If anyone has any other suggestions... I'll take them!!

*After Lunch Update*

So I got a text from DF on my lunch that we were going to dinner with his mom tonight. I had big plans for a nap, a bag of doritos and a half box of midol... but that seems to be a dream of the past... maybe tomorrow :confused3 I guess tonight will be the night where I break it to her that she's not invited. Well not just her--anyone. I just KNOW he won't stick up for me and I'm going to seem like an awful witch. This is going to end badly, I can see it now. Combine my "health" situation  and a bad subject together and it's gonna be like the Bubba Sparxx song... Ugly.

Since I got back from lunch, I've been hyperventilating about the 10 person thing. I went into all my old emails from DFTW pulled all the attachments and scoured them. They were all from 2009 and early 2010 so I figured they were as good as trash. My lack of patience got to me so I called the "if you need immediate assistance" person. I DO need immediate assistance!! If only they had a line like that when they were in the office too :lmao: The kind girl said she would send me all new attachments within the hour :cool1: Now I'll have some afternoon reading!! Although I don't know her rank or role... I decided to throw the question that's been making me want to vom in my trash can for the past 2 hours out to her. Do you have to have more than 10 people for Wishes? Or can you be by yourself if you're over the minimum. She said that I could be a Wishes bride as long as I met the minimum. I think I finally took a full breath. I decided not to press my luck with too much more so I'll just read myself when I get the stuff.

I think where my problem may be is with the Illuminations minimums... if they can't work with me then that will be out. As long as I can be a Wishes bride, have my wedding... I'll figure out the food later--or within the next 6 weeks :goodvibes

Wish me luck tonight. Pray that my mouth doesn't say things that it doesn't mean to say. I was going to type some examples, but they were getting bad, lol... so I deleted them. Just pray for my strength to be professional and kind hearted about it, lol. Maybe say a prayer that DF will back me up too. I know he'll make me do the talking. Someone needs to send him a spine priority UPS ... delivery by 6pm please. Okay... maybe FedEx--UPS stopped delivering to my street for some reason--we would have to go pick it up. So priority Fed-Ex please!!!

That's all for now!! I'll have to update tomorrow for sure, lol!!

Oh man girl.. fingers crossed for you tonight! Sending boat loads full of pixie dust your way*

I have to admit I laughed at your post - I was imagining your 'examples'

I just wanted to say--- GOOD LUCK!!!!! FMIL are the worst anyway. (Well, some of them are.) :grouphug:

Worst comes to work? Just kick her.

Yikes! Can't he just tell her since it is his mom? I would so have my H bite that bullet. I remember after we got married and had to tell everyone (we had a non-wedding on the beach with just our parents present) we had a rule that he had to take care of his friends/family and I had to take care of mine.

Phew that's good to hear that guest count shouldn't be a problem. Sorry for freaking you out!! I hope your dinner with FMIL goes okay...I almost always find myself breaking bad news to his family/friends too. Maybe it's a guy thing?
