so.. i made icing filled cupcakes.. thems taste good!! I also attempted to make a pirate ship cake, and that should be on cakewrecks.com fer sure.. but everyone got the point, and Jack thought it was the bees knees! Sophia has the pics on her camera right now, but i will post the pics as soon as i get them! I get you in mind the whole time ;> cute straightening iron too!

OK, who wants to see some stuff I bought?


On Sunday I hit Bed, Bath & Beyond's Wall o' Travel Crap and discovered some pretty nifty stuff.

I'm sure you all knew about these, but I was delighted to find "TSA-safe" carry-on kit that had little pots and bottles in it, plus sticky labels for all of them! Most of the travel kits I've seen over the years have, like, three ginormous bottles in them and that's it. This one has 7 tiny pots that will be perfect for stuff I don't use a lot of, like eye serum. And there's even a small spray bottle for my Model in a Bottle makeup sealant (cuz I think it's gonna be HOT at WDW!).

The other thing I'm most excited about was an impulse buy, but I think it was a good one. I got my hair chemically straightened again in January, but it's starting to get kinky at the roots, so I was gonna bring my big dumb straightening iron. But BB&B had (in the Wall o' Travel Crap - brilliant!) a tiny ceramic straightening iron that turns out to work better than my huge cheap-o one! And it was only $30 ($20 after my coupon). Hooray!

These items sound wonderful. I'm sure they look pretty nifty, too. But I can't see the pics here at work. I would love to have a mini straightening iron and definately want to check this out. Unfortunately, I think the B,B, & B closet to me closed. I must find another!

Exactly! I'm thinking, who looks good in a maxi dress? Even the skinny Victoria's Secret models look frumpy in them!

It's one of those places where you go in for a whisk and come out with, like, a digital picture frame key chain, a memory foam neck pillow, some placemats, a new lip gloss and a mini straightening iron!

Oooh - I hope the capri pant shopping went well! I can't wait to break out mine, cuz we aren't allowed to wear them at work. One of the bosses thinks that if they let women wear capri pants, the men will all start clamoring to wear those huge rapper pants that flap around the calves. I think he's underestimating the fashion sense of our male employees...

THIS looks fan-freakin-fastic. But, the one thing I wish it had was labels you could write on yourself. While my OCD tells me to like the pre-printed ones, I can't help but notice that there are no little labels for "concealer" which is my biggest issue. I use Christian Dior concealer and like the old commercials say "a little dab'll do ya"---so I don't need to bring the whole tube.

Logically, it is skin colored, so I will know what it is even if it is left without a label, but it sure would be nice if they added one so that all of my little toiletry pots matched.

My trip isn't for over 7 months and I am totally going out to BB&B to see if they have this after work tonight.

I think there are extra clear labels on the sheet - you just can't see 'em in the pic. Also, you could just write on the pot with a fine-point Sharpie - that's what I do!

Now that these obstacles to your happiness have been removed, go forth and shop!

Today's cake porn is the cake I saw on the big Cake Thread on the Restaurants board that convinced me I could do chocolate frosting under pink fondant. They got it at 1900 Park Fare (I think - either that or the other foofy Victorian restaurant at the Grand Floridian...). It had Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup mousse in it.

Great "dining" choices! Hopefully Pop Century won't be too awful bad this time! The Passporter events sound like so much fun, I wonder if the birthday cake will be a giant Passporter book?? How cool would that be!!!

Of course looking forward to all your live blog updates and YAY for a great "TSA Approved" travel bag!! Perfect fit!!

OK, ALLEARS' latest newsletter has a tip saying there's major construction on Osceola Parkway, which runs right by Pop Cneutry and is kinda my main road in and outta there. I posted on the transportaiton board and someone said it took them 2 hours to get from Publix to the BoardWalk Inn cuz of it. But Jensey didn't see any construction there this week.

Anyone know anything about this? I don't wanna be wasting valuable post-flight nap time sitting in traffic trying to get to Pop.

OK, it is the day before I leave, and I just realized that my travel agency never sent me the email with all the info in it about their special Fantasmic! dessert party on Sunday. I have called and emailed them, but it appears that they all went on the cruise portion of the Decade of Dreams Tour, so no one is around to help me.

The thing that's scaring me is, if I wasn't on the list to get the email, how do I know I'm on the list to get into the party?

On top of that, I went to check into Pop using Disney's online reservation system and found out I can't do it because I used a travel agency! GRRRRRRRRR! Guess this will be my first and last experience using a travel agent for Disney travel.
