I love your 'to dos' and 'to eat'.

That Boston Cream looks dreamy. Look at what time it is.

Anyhow, thank you for the information. We may save the $60 and go have a nice dinner and get a piece of cake at the Boardwalk.
WOWZA that boston cream cake looks like it's 3D & reaching out to me!!!! Yummo. Love the to do/to eat list..........
I wanna hear all about all of them, but I am especially interested to hear about the Flights of Wonder at DTD.......It's got Mary Poppins silhouette on it......scree!!!!!!!!!!!!!We might just have to do that ourselves on our Friday/goof off/DTD day.
I think I am gonna have to buy one of these to compare to the wedding cake. We are having the Disney wedding cake and a grooms cake from Sprinkles, hopefully I can work more cake in...![]()
A lurker popping in to tell you, in case you don't already know, Sci Fi has a Peanut Butter Cake that I have read rave reviews of on various TRs, served at lunch and dinner. I believe it's a fairly new addition to the menu!

Oh would you, Please! I will be staying there in June and I can't wait until people start posting Kidani pics! This will be my second family DVC trip, and the nicest resort I have stayed in to date, so I am super excited!![]()
Carrie - I know if you post pics they will be good!
Whaaaaaaaaaaat! That looks amazing. (How did I miss that the first time I read your post????????)
Cake!!
Carrie, all of these delicious pictures have inspired me to share with you (and all these other fabulous DISers) my two favourite cake recipes. Both super easy and SOOOO good!
ENJOY!!!Hopefully you can make these and eat them while you continue to keep us posted on all of your trip details!
I was boring and went for the world famous sundae. It was still yummy though. I think I will have to try the one that you like next time. I would love to try them all!!![]()

Are we going to start posting ice cream here too? Because, I don't think my inner Johnson will allow me to passively gawk at ice cream! I'll be forced to go EAT ice cream - I'm not saying that's a bad thing....I'm just sayin'!
I tried them on wednesday and fell in LOVE with the peanut butter jelly heart (and I loathe jelly!). I ate FOUR of them and then had to buy a box to share. They are the prettiest chocolates I've seen and taste divine.
Carrie,
Don't forget that I also discovered an amazingly good chocolate peanut butter cupcake at Starring Rolls that you should try if you get the chance!
But Patrick takes all my pictures, and hes not going! Ill do my best, however. Heck, I should bribe Jensey to do it now those would be good pictures!
Hey Carrie, we just order the $60 cake today. I shouldn't be shocked at the cost, heck the wedding cake wasn't cheep and it was only three layers.
It will be interesting to see how it turns out. We aren't doing the castle topper.
I'll post photos when we get back. Pat has been very helpful in planning this. Which is really nice.
best groom's cake pic. ever!![]()
Hey Carrie! I'm going to DL on Thurs with my mom & niece, and I need a dessert recommendation!
I like chocolate, but not gobs of it (like solid chocolate fudge cake with chocolate on top - too rich!), chocolate peanut butter is OK but not my fav (blasphemy!), and I DO like fruity flavored stuff. Also, no nuts or white chocolate.
It can be anywhere in either park or Downtown Disney.
So whatcha got for me?
(Dole Whips are on the list no matter what).
That's right up there with the armadillo cake in Steel Magnolias!![]()
Well either a little bit of Patrick's picture taking mojo must rub off on you in the next week or you will have to bribe Jensey. Any pictures, good, bad, or otherwise, will be greatly appreciated!![]()
Inside the park, I think the best place for candy-type desserts is Pooh Corner, or whatever it's called - at the exit to the Pooh ride. But I can't really recommend anything there that's, like, amazing.Supposedly Disneyland used to make amazing fudge, but now it's either been completely discontinued or is only available seasonally - not sure what's going on with it. I never tried it, though...
The cookie boat dessert at the Blue Bayou is pretty good, if you can get a ressie there. And I'm a fan of the decorate-it-yourself cake/cookie (I think it's a cookie these days) that they serve at the Princess Cattle Call in the Fantasyland Theater, but mostly because I like to eat the frosting straight from the cup...![]()
Not sure if you have seen a photo of the cake, so here is one.
