oldkicker (aka Riddler/Bernie) and I spent a great lunch together today. I got him all pyched up by showing him 200 photos from my trip last month for DISCON II next month. But, I know all you riddler people out there often wondered how ok comes up with his daily riddle. Well, I still don't know but here's what he looks like when he's cooking them up!

And here I am outside of Joey's where I enjoyed a great hot meatball sandwich while ok partook of the Italian Speadies. Man, love this camera! Oh, the weather is always like this in Syracuse, NY in November! ;)

WOO HOO!

Hi guys.......

Excellent picture of Bernie, Scott. You can almost see his nose hairs!

Bernie, can't wait to see you again...2 weeks from today and I'll be hoisting with you.

Meatball sandwich sounds pretty darn good. What's an italian spreadie? Sopranos butt?

Did you get the combination to his pants storage closet? :p

Thanks for sharing the pics!

What a sweet face, I'm still sad that I couldn't find the DIS meet in Toronto and didn't get to meet Bernie.

Great pics ... thanks for posting !

Great pictures, guys!!!! Looking forward to seeing you soon, Bernie. And that lunch sounds really good. :)

So the camera is working well, Scott??

OH, YEA!!

I printed out the picture of our cat that I posted earlier this week as an 8x10 last night. As far as I'm concerned, it's good enough to frame and hang on the wall. The image quality is amazing!!!

I just got to get used to the lens so that I can use it like I do my SLR. But, that will come with time. And, since I can take loads of pics, that shouldn't take too long to do.

As I was chatting with Brisully earlier tonight, I will be shooting some protraits this weekend in my little home studio. I am very curious to see how it renders flesh tones under my lights. Time to learn all about white balance this weekend! :)

I honestly thought there was gonna be a riddle in here for us to answer!! LOL

As I've heard you say many times to me, Oldkicker: "So nice to see you here today". :D

Thanks Scott, good to see you again!

Bernie!! Now I know who to look for at R&C!!

Hugs,
Corinne

I seem to have a problem with white balance with tungsten light, no flash, automatic. I usually have to set it to manual, incandescent light. Comes out fine then, but a pain. If I leave it on auto, the rendering seems leaning to too much red. I know tungsten is warm and orange/gold, but auto seems almost reddish. Let me know what you get.

Did you get PM with the link to 995 manual??

Thanks Scott, for debunking the myth! Certain riddlers would have us believe OK was a little old lady from Joisy;)

Good seeing you Bernie! And you too Scott!

Sorry I missed you at MNSSHP, but glad to here you survived the hormone ordeal;) ;) :jester:

Thanks for posting this!

That was a fun lunch, Scott! The photos you shared were absolutely wonderful - they've got me in the mood to go RIGHT NOW!!! :)

Hey Kath - I'll see you at DISCon! :)

Glad we could dispel that notion, John! :p

Another typical mid-November day in Syracuse....YEAH RIGHT!!!! :)

Good to see you Scott and BERNIE!!!!

How come you only show OK's face though? We want to see his kilt!:p

You know, some things should be left to the imagination! ;)

Yes I did, Dan! So far I've made extensive use of the manual that came with the camera and online resources. But it's on my list along with the 2x Telephoto, Flash adaptor, filters, IBM Microdrive, etc. This little guy has an appetite!! :D
