We're staying at Fort Wilderness this weekend and will likely try this restaurant. Both menus look like they would be popular with our family, and the prices look down-right unDisney! Which meal would you recommend? Also, it does not take ressies, right? Has anyone ever had a long wait to get in, especially on a Saturday evening?

The Trail's End is one of our favorite restaurants, and you're right, it is very reasonable. You won't need a PS and the wait is never that long. There's not much difference between lunch and dinner, just a few more choices on the dinner buffet. You can eat healthy or, if you're not weight and diet conscious, eat all of the great fried chicken you want. Enjoy! :)

We only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table at the Trail's End on for Thanksgiving! Good food, great prices!

We ate there just last week. We arrived abgout 6 and left about 7 and there were still empty tables! We go for dinner, it is our favorite places. You're right too, the prices are very unDisney like. If you can, ask to be seated in Bobs section. He's great. Tells jokes and kids around with you. We really liked him! Enjoy!!

We just had lunch there and I will say it was one of the best we had. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, tacos, sandwiches, chilie, and so much more....It's $9.99 for lunch and I think they serve until 2:30. Well worth the trip and absolutely no crowds.

...when are you going? Maybe we'll see you there!!

kimmar067 -- We're not sure when we're going, but probably Saturday dinner. We're going to be at WDW all of 50 hours, and we don't even have it planned yet. We'll have plenty of time for that in the van on the way down!

...uhhh, no, I meant, when will you be at Ft W, not when are you going to lunch/dinner!

Sidebar on the Mac & Cheese. The had several top Chefs from WDW come to WL and prepare their version of Mac & Cheese. They then brought in some children and had them sample and judge which they liked the best.

This from our server as we commented on how good it was.

Kimmar, coud you please find out what their Thanksgiving Menu will be? Thanks, hope this trip is your best ever.
