Lunch hours at 50's Prime Time

I received an email from the planning office at the Yacht Club. I wanted a PS for 11:30 at 50's and they wrote to me saying it didn't start serving until 12 noon... is that normal or has there been a change in operating hours?. Alot of the dining rooms start serving lunch at 11:30 I thought???

The same thing happened to us. We requested 11:30 and were given 12:00 by the Poly planning group. We got there just at 12:00 and there were already many tables seated. So although I'm not positive, my guess would be that they do start before 12:00.

This happens a lot at the MGM restaurants, but I don't know why. The last two times I've made PS's for Sci Fi they've told us the same thing initially. I call for my own PS's, so what I've done is just make the 12:00 PS. Then I've called back within a month of my visit, and both times was able to get the 11:30 PS. I don't know how you handle this with a WDW resort making your PS's for you. The same thing happens with the MGM restaurants for dinner too, by the way. Initially you can only make very early PS's, then within about a month of the trip later times are available.

Lunch runs from 11:30 am until 3:30 or 4 pm unless they have changed it in the past few months.
