4 adults. All first timers at The Wave.
Very nice looking restaurant. Very cheery and friendly CMs from beginning to end. Good service. No complaints.
Seasonal soup today was Butternut Squash, which none of us tried.
persons #1 & #2 - Each ordered the Italian Chef Salad - Mixed greens tossed with red wine vinaigrette served with prosciutto, cappicoloa, provolone, salami and shaved parmesan.
They seemed to really enjoy the salad. I heard them say good things about the meat.
The only negative I recall, and it was minor, was the sliced cheese stuck to the bottom of their plates.
Some cheese slices were laid on the plates first, and apparently the plate was warm.
One person is not a cheese lover, so did not mind. They easily ate around their cheese.
The other said it was very difficult to remove the cheese from the bottom of the plate as it was stuck on pretty good.
Very odd we thought.
DH and I: Each Ordered Angus Chuck Bacon Cheeseburger - served on a multigrain roll with choice of papaya slaw or roasted potato wedges.
Now that I read this, I recall this on the menu. But I don't recall having a choice of papaya or potato. But could be she offered to DH. I was indecisive and basically said I would have what he did. That might be what happened.
It was odd though that the server asked DH and I if we each wanted bacon on the cheeseburgers. We both said yes. I was half way through mine and realized I had no bacon.
Not a big deal. But again, odd when it is a bacon cheeseburger, they verify we wanted bacon, and I still did not get any.
Not bad. Just odd.
And now I understand why the Casey lovers complain about the multigrain buns falling apart.
I totally sympathize now after eating that hamburger today on a multigrain bun.
It disengrated on me.
#1 & 2 just had water with lemon.
DH had coffee, which he said was pretty good, for Disney coffee. So at least it was not the typical weak Nescafe.
I had the Supercharged Tropical Smoothie - A blend of Tropical Fruit Juices, Nonfat Yogurt, and Odwalla Super Protein Original.
It was "okay". I would not order it again. A lot of ice and no flavor. I don't know where the tropical juice was.
Maybe it was with my bacon.
I think there was SOME. But it certainly was not generous enough to be noticed. It did come with a strawberry on the side rim. It would have been MUCH better with pineapple or something to liven it up. Seemed like a lot shaved ice and dairy.
Overall, we were glad we went, and will return. However I think DH and I would order something different.
It was very nice surroundings and good to get away from a hectic park pace.
