Lunch At Le Cellier?

Hi there!

I cannot get a ressie for early Feb for dinner at Le Cellier , and was thinking of making a lunch ressie, but I do not see the mushroom filet or the maple filet. Tell me about the 5 oz filet listed? Also, has anyone had the new entree with shrimp, scallops and mussels? How are the portion sizes for lunch vs. dinner?

If you can't do dinner, do the next best thing and have lunch.
This way you can enjoy more pretzel bread with smaller lunch portions.
Honestly, it may have been a bad night, but last Christmas Eve we all had the mushroom filets and did not enjoy them. And, yes, they are not on the lunch menu. I'd go for the strip. (I've heard the prime rib sandwich is great. It looks good, too.) If you or kids are worried about portion size order a side of mashed potatoes. It is huge and delicious and around $2.99. Or if on DDP get a more expensive appy and pay oop for the cheaper soup.
We're doing lunch in December and can't wait!!! It, too, was the only time we could get in.

Went to LC last month and had planned to have the filet, but heard a guest raving about how good the prime rib sandwich was. I tried it, and it was fabulous! Lean, sliced prime rib (no fat, no gristle, nice and juicy) on a toasted roll with really good french fries. It was great! I'm so glad I tried something new. (Plus, it was about $9 less than the filet for lunch! Score!)

I can't comment on the steaks because I am not a big steak eater but they do have great burgers there as well. I might have to try the prime rib sandwich next month though.

As far as portion sizes go, I felt like lunch was just fine, I was pretty stuffed afterwards, and I can pack some food away.

We love lunch at LC and actually prefer it to dinner. We were there last week and DH had the prime rib sandwich and LOVED it. We both had the Cheddar Cheese soup which was delicious and I had a salad which was also excellent. I think I had a half dozen pretzel bread sticks too...haha.

The BBQ filet they will make for you, DH has done it before. The mushroom one they wont because the items are not prepped for lunch, that is what our waitress said.

I had the 5 oz. filet for lunch in October. Just the right size. It tasted wonderful!
We also ordered the new cho\rizo appetizer and it was very yummy.
I think we'll do lunch instead of dinner from now on.

We've done lunch and dinner, and I actually prefer lunch. I usually get the chicken salad with pecan shallot dressing. I found the lunch and dinner portions to be exactly the same size.

My dh usually has the strip, and it is quite big....enough for me to have a few bites as well.

After eating there for dinner, I think lunch without the app will be just nice. I had to be rolled out after dinner I was so. full. I'm planning on getting the 5oz filet and the chocolate moose (which is awesome!), followed by a glass of Ice Wine of course!!
