I was looking at the lunch menu at the GF Cafe and it looks good and a nice way to visit the GF for a break during the day. They have a soup and sandwich combo and the choices are tuna, shrimp, or chicken salad. I would choose between the shrimp salad sandwich or the chicken salad if it is good. Sounds like a light alternative to burgers and such. Has anyone every tried either of these sandwiches at GF Cafe?

Yes, my mom and sister split the chicken salad and soup when we went last, they said it was good =) We enjoyed our lunch there, really, light and fresh, with GREAT service.

Plus we ended our meals with the slipper dessert - divine!

They also have mini-desserts, for like $3 a piece, so you can buy a few and taste them. They looked incredible =)

My brother got the cobb salad, and it was HUGE and yummy!!!

I've had this lunch before, with the shrimp salad and it was excellent. I haven't had the chicken or tuna salad, though.

My husband almost always orders that combo. He's had both the shrimp and chicken salad. I've had the tuna which was also very good. They do toast the bread however so if you prefer it not be toasted be sure to ask.

I shared a shrimp salad sandwich during our GF stay this February; it's excellent. I also ordered a veggie burger which was actually home-made and not a frozen patty: also damn good.

The GF Cafe is a lovely, overlooked restaurant. I'm happy it also finally reopened for dinner.

lunch sounds great, but the last seating was 2:00 which was still a little early for us. so i booked an early dinner. any recommendations for dinner? thanks:tongue:

disney queen, although we've not been to dinner since it reopened, I've noticed that tilapia with mango sticky rice is on the menu. My son and his fiancee have had that at lunch and thought it was excellent.

We're trying dinner there one night next month.

And I agree that the cobb salad is huge and tasty too.
