If you play your cards right you can eat your fill withpout it costing a bean!Just keep walking around the food hall as everyone gives out free samples;)

But my favourite is l

I wouldnt say there was anything that great there to eat, by this i mean, they are your typical fast food counter service food items, they are however of a good standard, but i wouldnt go out of my way to plan this into my schedule!!!.IMHO go shopping and hit one of the other eateries nearby.

I'd agree 100% with signtalker. While the Florida Mall is Ok for food ( and no more than that ) I certainly wouldn't make a trip there specifically to eat.

If you're there shopping ( always a handy excuse for my DW ) then the food mall is decent enough and you can pick and choose from many different cuisines.

If you're heading in that general direction why not head for Winter Park..?? Great place for a few hours, especially with kids. Beautiful open parkland areas for them to play in, nice eateries...and a totally different experience to the hustle-bustle of Orlando. ......End of advert for Winter Park!

If you are going to eat there I'd recommend the Olive Garden "booth". Same quality as the restaurant at a fraction of the cost.

If you have any fussy eaters in the group there is a wide selection of cuisines and should satisfy most.

wonderful family style Italian is Bucco de Beppe's (or something like that) It's near Old Navy, tucked away and seems never to be too busy (or so we've found):)

Beware, the portions are enormous and everything is wonderful...including the value!:):)

We went to Buca di Beppo on UKANGEL's recommendation and I'm really glad we did. Apparently it's a chain, but the decor has to be seen to be believed. Rather than try to describe it, check out their Virtual Restaurant.

We also like the California Cafe which is in the new wing next to Burdines.

We're going to do some shopping at Florida Mall - never been before - so it doesn't have to be anything fancy, just a quick bite probably.

Thanks for the info

Well I liked Florida Mall Food Court. Certainly better than any equivalent in the UK in terms of value and quality!!

In response to Mike230652's reply

Any more info on Winter Park would be appreciated!!

I am feeling the need to spread my wings!!!

Thanks

Wow.........excellent find there ! Brings it all back.

DISNEY FREAK UK ....

I certainly recall some of the designer shops that DW went into while I stood outside hiding my Amex card.....Winter Park is definitely upmarket.

Round the side/back of park Avenue North are little alleyways and courtyards with boutiques, small ( upmarket ) shops and cafes.

........And Park Avenue must have the highest ratio of BMWs' and Mercs' in the USA. Everything tells you this is a money zone!! But the locals are so polite and friendly, so I didn't feel too bad about parking our Dodge Stratus there !!

Don't miss the lake and the "Scenic Boat tour " .....with or without kids this is a great way to spend a relaxing hour plus. The boats are captained by locals who really are informative and interesting about the area, its people and wildlife. You'll see lakefront houses belonging to " old money " as they put it, such as the Kraft family ( as in paper not cheese LOL ! ). Some properties are upwards of $3m...........and look it!! You'll see Rollins College which is a definite Ivy League college and your arm will ache from returning the waves from all the locals boating on the lake.

Having said how wealthy Winter Park is , it's certainly not snobbish. You feel genuinely welcomed and we will certainly be visiting again. I have nothing but fond memories of what was a beautifully kept town which provided a delightful haven from the hurly-burly of Orlando. Sorry if I've gone a bit shcmaltzy here but visit W.P and you'll see exactly what I mean.

.....................Aaahhhh, if only.............

Another vote for the Olive Garden here, great food, at a good price.

We love Winter Park. There is a great pet store callled "The Doggy Door" which has a pet bakery (for baking pet's biscuiits not the pets themselves lol) and loads of amazing pet accassories. Our two doggies got a few presents from that shop!

The Winter Park Mall - in the next major street up is also worth a visit.

If only because they have a Cheesecake Factory there:) :bounce: :)

i dont really have any recommendations for lunch at Florida Mall but i would suggest a visit to 'Nail Avenue'. They do the most amazing pedicures that wont break the bank and also they do really nice false nails.
I know its nothing to do with food but i think u shud try it!!!!!!!

We like California Cafe.

During our most recent trip, we tried Buca di Beppo. Hearty Italian fayre in an outrageously kitsch environment.

Of the two, I would say Buca di Beppo is better for kids.
