My mom and I are planning a trip to WDW. She has never eatten up at the castle so I want to surprise her. ;) Does anyone know what they will be serving on the lunch menu and how the characters will interact with us? Basically, will we look funny among a bunch of 3 foot tall kids? :rotfl:

Your post reads almost exactly as mine would! I wante dto bring my mom to lunch at CRT, but then I see the price has gone up to $33! Apparently, you will get your picture with Cindy in the lobby, for lunch you will get some sort of appeitizer, food choices like what they have currently, and then the characters are not walking around to interact. That's the jist I got from what I read. You do get a photo package with the price, but I'd rather have a cheaper price and have the characters just walk around. I don't think we'll be doing this one.

Well the lunch menus I can find do not look good. Maybe we will try 1900s at GF?

And that doesn't include tax or tip. After tax and tip, the lunch for two will cost close to 90 bucks.

As far as looking funny with character interaction. NO! I would eat there alone if no one went with me. Actually, one of these days I plan to do a "mother-daughter" trip and I will definitely include castle character dining in my intinerary. Also, though the menus may look discouraging, I suggest that you just try it. When we went to the castle breakfast in Nov. I figured I was just paying for the characters because the food was all but sounding enticing but when they brought out the food I couldn't be more wrong! It was the best meal we had in the whole week!

Me and DH are going to the princess lunch (alone) in a couple of days....I have to admit I would<ve preferred dinner. I just want to eat in the castle one last time before the changes are in effect....

I will keep trying to make the change 'til the day of our reservation, but I absolutely want to eat at the castle one last time, princesses or not.

I just booked CRT breakfast this morning for 5 people. $191.04!!!! Yikes! :earseek:

I know the price in unbelievable but i definitely think it's worth it. I would pay twice that much just to see the look on my girls' faces. I hope you have a great time!

We were fortunate enough to get lunch reservations for 1/31... THE LAST DAY BEFORE THE PRICE INCREASE!!!

We have the Disney Dining plan, too, so I really think that it is a steal! We've eaten with the princesses in Norway/Epcot (menu also looked discouraging, but the food was fabulous), but we are thrilled to finally get in to eat in the Castle! Woo hoo!

I hope that you get your reservation and your dinner is memorable!
