Lunch at 50's or Dinner at Mama Melrose?

We haven't done either, and will be on the Dining Plan. I realize that dinner at MM would be a wiser use of our TS credits, but not so sure we want another pasta place (we're doing Tutto a couple days before). The lunch menu at 50's appeals more to my family than the dinner offerings. Anyone been to both and prefer the food at one over the other?

I have been to 50's PT many times and MM only once. We did not like MM, because the food was way below average and service was poor. Now mind you, we did only go once, so it could have been an off night. We had dinner there, not lunch. But, it really turned us off, that we have not wanted to go back since. Maybe one day we will give it another try.

However, we have always had a great meal and good service at 50's PT. We usually go there for lunch. The only thing is..I do not think it is a good value for a dining plan credit, so we usually pay oop for that meal. I always get the Fried Chicken..just because I love it, it is that good! My DH and DS have also ordered different things, and they like the Fried Chicken and the Pot Roast the best.

I have been to both places once. I find 50's to be the most memorable, and I can't wait to go back!
Since you are already doing a nice Italian at Tutto, I would skip Mama's this time.

I say go with 50s Prime Time. Great experience with the servers and the food is wonderful. Fried Chicken is delicious I haven't been to Mama Melrose in a while, but we are planning to go our next trip to try it out again!

another vote for 50s...Everything on the menu is something that you should be comfortable with...but the fried chicken...I tell yah it's great...Go for 50s you will be happy...

I totally agree that with MM it would probably be a wiser choice for the TS credits, but 50 is so much better. The food at MM is good, but nothing out of this world. Everyone in our party loved the food at 50PT. The chicken and meatloaf are favorites! I would definetly go with 50PT especially since your doing Tutto which is weigh better than MM. Enjoy your vacation!!

I'm totally a CS person and usually only do a couple TS meals per trip...but lunch at 50's Prime Time is almost always one of them!

Another thing - since you're on the dining plan and have to eat dessert with every meal - the desserts at PT are some of the best on property!!

LOL, that also factored into my decision. Their dessert selection looks soooo much more appealing than MM's.

Yes, you can sub a different vegtable for the southern greens. I had corn last year.

Yes you can have a different side, just know that your server will probably give you a hard time about it Although since you're from South Carolina, my BFF's excuse should work for you too...when the server was giving her a hard time about not eating her greens, she looked up at her and said, "Honey, I'm from Tennessee, and those things you're serving aren't greens!" Works every time

50's Prime Time was the hit of the afternoon for our family. We did a late lunch and had a blast. We had a few cocktails from the "stolen keys to Dad's liquor cabinet" as our "cousin" told us. I know some don't like the antics of 50PTC but we loved it. Yes, they tease as part of the act, but none of it is mean spirited. To give you a flavor of the teasing, our waitress kept calling Dad "scooter" since he was in a wheelchair, Mom was "blondie" and I was "kid sister" and she gave us homework, which was something to the effect of "name 15 foods that begin with C." Overall it was great fun and the food while simple was simply delicious. We were a party of three and between the 3 we shared pot roast and the fried chicken. Sharing gave us room for a smores dessert.

Good choice in 50's! We go everytime and love more and more. It is especially fun when someone is really misbehavin'. We had a dad at the table next to us who had obviously been many times. To make his kids laugh, he just got naughtier and naughtier. By the end of our meal, he was in the corner, wearing a bib, and being scolded by our whole section. So fun!
