Lumix ZS40

Hi, I am looking for a little advice. I just bought this - I want a simple point and shoot with a zoom that takes good pictures. Dont need WIFI - first instructions are install an app on my phone - then connect it to my phone. I just want to use the camera. I know it probably sounds like a stupid question but can I use this just as a camera?? Just take pictures, take out the card and take it to the store to get pictures??
It is this a good camera?? So confused - thank you

I purchased a ZS40 last year before a European trip to slim down form an SLR. I think it's a nice little camera and does a good job. Nice zoom and lots of options if you care to use them. You can ignore the Wifi and GPS and the options if you like. Other than making sure they are turned off; they (GPS and WiFi) do consume some battery when they are active. I sometimes use the GPS, to do whats called Geo-tagging, on the photos (it stores the location of the shot in the picture file). I rarely use the WiFi. It tends to be a little slow compared to just pulling out the card and reading it direct.

All and all I've been please with the camera and it travels much easier than my SLR.
