Anyone stayed here overnight, at exit 20 off of I-95? Any thoughts on the area?

We normally drive through. There are a ton of hotels there though. If you drive a little farther south then you end up near the beaches. If you look at a map after lumberton on I95 you start to be right next to the beaches.

I don't care for Lumberton, and would drive on to maybe Dillon or Florence SC.

I think I stayed at a Fairfield Inn in Lumberton a couple of years ago. It was fine for a quick overnight stop, but nothing special.

We've stayed in Lumberton a few times on our drvie down. We've stayed at the Holiday Inn and the Fairfield Inn. I got both with a AAA discount for about $60 a night. I liked the Fairfield Inn the best, fee breakfast in the morning. Both hotels were clean, and I felt very safe there. I would definitely stay at one of them again if we ever drive. It's just right for a quick overnight stop during a long drive.

We have driven 5 times from Northern DE but never had an overnight in Lumberton. We've used this site for reference. It is basically an I-95 travel guide. It lists hotels, restaurants and other info about all exits on I-95. We usually print out each state that we're going to pass through and have it in the car to reference meal stops and hotel stops.

MinMouse, I actually have the I-95 Guide and already have all the states printed out and in my binder. I was hoping to do Priceline, and Lumberton is right about where we want to stop. But I have read bad reviews on it, on tripadvisor.

MemoryMaker2669, I think you'll really enjoy having the guide. I actually like reading through it as we head down . . . helps pass the time and plan the stops. Sorry we don't have any info on Lumberton for you though. Have a great trip!

I stop at Lumberton on the way home for every trip and have never had a problem, but it's just to stop, eat and sleep. I haven't toured the area at all. I've never felt unsafe there or anything....
