:earseek: DH! :earseek:

:rotfl: Thanks, Amanda, for sharing my joy. It means a lot to have friends like you. :D

OK, now back to the party. . .

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

"WE'VE GOT A NEW ATTITUUUUUUDE!"

E.

Wait a minute--stop the music. Tracy's here, too! Thanks for coming, Tracy. You're welcome any time. :wave2:

Thank you for your kind words, Tracy. It's a day to day struggle that we've got, isn't it? The blessings are there, though, if we're open to them, and having your kindness expressed here adds :D to my day.

Take care and God bless--
Erin

Now, everybody sing:

:D "We've got that new attitude!" :D

As usual, this week has had its ups and downs, but I'm happy with my commitment to my healthy lifestyle; I really took care of myself this week. Gotta do it taking it day by day, pound by pound, onward and downward, no messing around!

First off, congratulations on the size 10! I can't wait to buy 10's again. Second, I quoted you from one of your previous posts because you are soooooooo right! We may have our ups and downs but the commitment to make our lives healthier is a major plus to our weight loss plans. I learned early on that it's better to take it day by day than look directly ahead to the goal. You have a wonderful attitude and you are wonderful motivation for all of us WISHers! Have a great day! :sunny:

:sunny: Good morning, Cindy. :wave2: What a treat to come to my journal early this morning and there was such a sweet message from you! You jump started my day with a smile!

Oy, yoy, yoy, it's Tuesday and I'm tired! Once I have my coffee I'll be up and running. :teeth:

I've got to lay out the plan in writing and remind myself what this healthy living is about (like I would forget?????:p ):

1. Vitamins--will take them after I eat some breakfast.
2. Water--already sipping from my mug.
3. Exercise--it'll just be a quickie mile today
4. Food--looking at 23.5 points; I might have to use another flex and have some fresh fruit. I guess that's OK!::yes::

It's a brand new day! Here I come!:hyper:

Erin

Edit: 1. Vitamins :D 22 /31
2. Water: :D 21/31
3. Exercise: :D 18/31
4. Food: Finished at 22.5; didn't have to touch the flex. :D
19/31

Pooped! Gotta get in my jammies and watch AI! I saw a little bit before I came up here; have to admit Frank Sinatra Boy did a good job.

No time for me to write a long message. Just wanted to pop in to say two things:

1. Thank you so much for your help and support yesterday!!

2. I'm sending some extra energy :wizard: to help you get through your long day.

Gotta run, but know that you're always in my thoughts and prayers! ::yes::

 for you, my WISH-sis! :happy1:

Hi Erin,

I know today is another busy one for you. I'm just here to tell you I'm sending some extra:goodvibes for you today. Will you be able to watch AI tonight?

Take care of yourself.
Beth

:sunny: It's a beeeyoootiful day in Pennsylvania! :sunny: I just got in from driving DD to school and the birds were singing and I noticed buds on the trees. . .ahhh, spring. :D

I'm not as tired this morning, though Dpup had me up in the night with all his scratching and licking of his feet; I finally gave in at 4:30 and got him another antihistamine. Poor guy. :(

Okee dokee, let me get the plan in gear:

1. Vitamins--:D
2. Water--20 oz. gone
3. Exercise--jumping on the treadie; hope to have time to do two miles this a.m.
4. Food--22 Target, 2 AP to work with; bank still full with 35 flex.:p I've used 5 points so far today.

b--cinnamon almond banana oatmeal and coffee=5
s--yogurt or cheesestick=2
l--late lunch: McDonald's salad=10
s--red pepper strips=0
d--tuna sandwich=5
dessert=fresh fruit salad at 1 or 1.5

That gives me a point or two to play with. I may dip into my flex and have a flavored coffee from the Dunkin Donut nextdoor; I'll have to see. I do have that peach green tea, though. . .that's very nice and relaxing. Hmmm, choices, choices.

Quickly, some "notes to self"--what I've learned the last week or so:

1. At this stage in my weight loss game, a binge really throws off the scale. Even if it's just for one day that I choose to binge, I'm pretty much choosing to not show a loss. If I binge on the weekend, there's a BIT of hope for recovery (especially if it's only one day), but generally, a binge seriously impacts my loss! When I was heavier, I could play around with this more--try to recover later in the week--but it's getting harder and harder to play that game.

2. Friday is a great weigh in day for me! I can go heavier on the points on the weekend, eat more carefully during the week, and have a good moment on the scale Fri. a.m. (Or at least that's how it's been seeming)

3. If I can get exercise done in the a.m., things just go so much smoother during the day. I feel like I've accomplished something right from the start!

4. The weight that I THOUGHT was my goal weight, might not be. Maybe my body will tell me what's right if I listen? I'm interested to know what other people think about this, so if any of my WISH buddies read this and have an opinion, I'd like to know. . .

Enough musings for the day. I've got to get to my friend, the treadie. Day by day, pound by pound, onward and downward, I'm not messing around!

Erin

Wow, you've really got your stuff really in order today! Sounds like you have a great plan and a even greater outlook! You know what to look for and you are doing it! What a great job you are doing!

Hope you have a great day today!

AMEN! I was having the same thought this morning.

I think our bodies do stop at some point and say - okay I'm comfy here. However you are within 5 lbs of your goal weight - the last 5 lbs are the hardest to lose my friend. I wouldn't give up just yet - especially if you have had some binges that might be what is keeping you from those 5 lbs. I would keep plugging away a couple more weeks and if there is still no change - then maybe here is where you are meant to be. Also you are not exercising like you use to (what happen to those 4 and 6 mile days?) once you start training for the marathon I bet you drop a few more lbs.

I know I am going to regret saying all this because I can see you giving the same advice back to me later ;) Remember princess: Erin it is a marathon and not a race. You are doing so awesome!

~Amanda

That is you! I am delighted to see that you have been so focused on goal:Pinkbounc

I have missed talking to you and need to check in more regularly. Life looks to be treating you well and I am so happy to see. The weather is improving and soon you can be outside for that exercise, and me too;)

Hope your Wednesday has been super:earsgirl:

:wave2: Hi, everyone! Thanks for stopping by MeMe, Desiree, and Amanda. I'm going to catch up on things tomorrow or Friday--Amanda, I appreciate your insights and will respond later--but now I've got to check in with the family then do some late night lesson planning.

Final stats for the day:

1. Vitamins==23/31
2. Water--22/31
3. Exercise--19/31
4. Food--20/31 Used three flex for a mid-week treat.:Pinkbounc

Sweet dreams--
Erin

It's morning and I'm still typing lesson plans. I was so sleepy last night, I just bagged it and went to bed. Now I'm up early struggling to get it done. Oh, well, some days are like that!:D

Here's the plan for a :sunny: day:

1. Vitamins.
2. Water--ooh, gotta drink a lot.
3. Exercise--maybe a mile, if I'm lucky to fit it in. No, I didn't mean that. I WILL FIT IT IN. I MUST FIT IT IN!
4. Food--22 target, 1 AP. No flex; tomorrow's weigh in!:p

I'm moving into the day,
Erin

Edit: Today was a really nice day, but I AM dragging quite a bit right now. I got my lessons done, finally, and I did put in a quickie mile on the treadie. Better than nothing, I always say.
:p

Final stats for 3/25

1. Vitamins--24/31
2. Water--23/31
3. Exercise--20/31
4. Food--21/31

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D I know I've given it my best this week, so whatever the scale says tomorrow, I can live it. No expectations, and no regrets either. I can't ask for more than that.

Good night,
Erin

I'm sure you will get your mile in today and I hope you have a great day! Good luck with weigh in tomorrow. :D

Hi Erin! Hope you have a great day today and you get your mile in! :wave2:

Hi Erin,

I hate when I have to rush in the morning. I hope this doesn't throw you off for the day. Your plan looks great. Have a good one, and get that mile in. Here's some
:wizard: :wizard: for weigh in tomorrow.
:sunny:
Beth

I'm thinking of you and sending some extra :sunny: your way! Best wishes for a happy scale encounter tomorrow. You know I think you're a huge success regardless of that scale, right?? Right!! ::yes::

Please try to get some much-needed rest tonight. I hope you're finished with those lesson plans! I think this weekend you should be due for a little "Erin time"! I know you have things to do to get ready for your Mom's visit, but don't overdo it, OK?? She isn't coming to do the "white glove test" on your house - she just wants to spend time with her beloved daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.

By the way, I took DD into Vicky's last evening. She found some cute PJs. I have to take her back this weekend - costumes have arrived for her dance & baton recital and she will be needing a strapless bra & undies that won't show through the skin tight pants! She made me promise that I'll try on bras too, so now I'm committed! ;) I was thinking of you, my skinny one-D-less WISH-sis!! :happy1:

:cool1: "I've got a new attituuuuude.":cool1: Yeah, I'm strutting around because today I'm at goal! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:scratchin No, wait a minute. . .MAYBE I'm at goal. Well, I guess I could be at goal. . .do I wanna be at goal? Is this realllly goal?

See, here's the problem. Today I weigh 158, the goal that I had at WW as my goal weight. When I started this journey in June (and joined WISH in August), this was the number I always put down in my siggie. A few weeks ago, I thought probably a "weight range" would be more comfortable for me, so I changed my goal to be a bit broader--155 to 158. THEN, I started wondering if my goal should even be lower than that and I thought 145-150 might feel better. . . Oye, see how undecided I am???

So, while I'm still trying to have a new attitude :p and I'm going to celebrate a two pound loss today (one more pound to my April challenge goal!), I'm only going to be "kind of at goal." I just have to see. . .

Amanda, you can see now what my dilemma is--I was never going to give up;) (though I sincerely appreciated the pep talk you gave me)--I'm just struggling to see what's best, and I think it comes down to listening to my body. I'm feeling good at where I am, but I think my Jock Athlete Princess Body might be lighter?

I'm a bit frustrated, too, because I feel like I've finally figured out what's comfortable for me as far as points and exercise management, and I'd like to continue on with the program I've established for myself. Maintaining my weight is something I've never tried, let alone accomplished, and I'm not ready to go there, I don't think. And what's a realistic weight for my 42 yr. old body to maintain anyway? Maybe if I wasn't walking 10-15 miles (and eventually more) per week, 155-158 would be my target weight, but then again, maybe 145-150 would feel good for a serious walker like myself? LOL

So, in conclusion: I've reached a number that I thought would have meaning for me. I'm there happily :Pinkbounc , but without any conclusion or direction. The journey continues, just as I knew it would. I'm celebrating saying good-bye to two more pounds! :wave2: I'm celebrating my view of the 150s :teeth:
I'm celebrating a brand new day of healthy living. :sunny:

More later. Right now the realities of motherhood collide with my WISH time--my DD asked me to iron some clothes for her (which I happily agreed to), but now she's out of the shower and has nothing to wear 'cause I haven't done it! Gotta go--

Erin

Weigh to go Erin!!!!!!!! Congratulations on meeting your WW goal. I just wanted to stop by and wish you a happy Friday. I guess it already is. ::yes:: Have a great day.

:jumping1: WW GOAL!!! :jumping1:

Dear princess: Lulu, I'm so excited for you!!! :jumping3: :jumping3: :jumping3: I know how you struggled with the idea of going back to WW meetings. I just KNEW you'd meet that goal - with or without them!!

And now we get to the hard part, right? The age old question - what SHOULD I weigh??? Oh, we love our scale numbers, don't we? Weight is a concrete, measurable thing that we can pin a number on - a comfort in a way. Do we have to set a number?? Isn't it enough to just eat healthy food in reasonable amounts and exercise on a consistent basis and let our bodies find their own "happy place"?? Why do we need a number?? I'm pondering these questions for myself these days.

I suppose the big question is - on our healthy living journey, how do we define "success"? I don't know the answer, but I've been asking myself this question a lot lately and now it looks like you're asking the same thing.

The good news is that we don't need an answer right away, right? We can just keep going with our healthy habits and ponder for a while. We'll just keep on keepin' on for now.

Sending you {hugs} and :sunny: for a wonderful Friday!
princess: Doe-Doe
