luggage transfer

Anyone know if the luggage tranfer being offered to resort guest will apply to dvc. I read the article this morning and was wondering if anyone had any info

Yes, it does apply to DVC members as well. It begins 5/5 to coincide w/the celebration.

Thanks for the info now for the tricky question do we call the resort to get the tags or how does this work if you already have your ressie

No, you have to call MS approximately 3 weeks before the trip. So they can send you what you need-special tags, etc.

Disney will not transport just the luggage. You have to take the shuttle if you want the luggages transferred.
But how will they know if you're on the bus or not if all the baggage is going to get sorted at the airport behind the scenes

Will this apply to point renters also? I asked when I rented my points but Linda didn't know. We will be staying three nights at a delux so I imagine we should receive this service also. Any thoughts?

If you are renting points and the ressie is in your name, I don't see why it wouldn't apply. Hopefully someone can tell you soon hun. S Not knowing would stress me a bit.

Other than confirming that DVC guests will be eligible to use Disney's Magical Express, there hasn't been much info made public. The email responses sent to members have indicated that further details will be available after March 1st. Hopefully DVC will put something in the Member Clubhouse or on the website to avoid a lot of phone calls.

Im assuming it works same way even if checking into value and out of DVC

If Disney is moving your luggage, and you are free to go to the parks, how will your room be assigned? And more importantly, how will you assure that all of your requests are being honored?(sic) COULD this be how DVC is finally going to end the REQUEST WAR?(sic) Stay tuned as this one plays out. It will get very interesting!
