Luggage Shipping Services

I thought this might belong in the section of the boards since it has to do with the shoddy luggage check-in that the airlines have these days. I have heard of close to 10 luggage shipping services that will ship my luggage for an extra fee. I am considering using one and hopefully one of you Dis-sers can help me. If any of you have used any of them, please share the info. Even if you have bad things to say, I would like to hear it.

Research them - especially their prices. Then decide

I know some executives who use them when they are combining business trips with a pleasure trip tacked on, and don't want to deal with luggage at the interim stop.

The average price per bag for domestic trips is between $75-100.

I would compare the price of putting your stuff in a box and shipping it to the hotel via UPS or FedEx.

I'm just curious about what you mean by "shoddy luggage check-in"? I agree with the person that said just box it up and let UPS / FEDEX handle it if you dont want the airline to.
