I have a question about how your luggage gets to your connecting flight. I booked us on Frontier for a nonstop flight to California for our August trip. When I checking to see if the prices went down, I noticed they changed the time of our flight from 9pm to 6pm and from nonstop to connecting and changing planes in Denver. We only have about 45 minutes to get from one plane to the other with an almost 3 year old, carseat, stroller, luggage and going through the security checkpoint. I have only flown nonstop flights so I have no idea how this all works. Are we responsible for going to baggage and getting our luggage and bringing it to the next flight or does the airline do that? Also, do we have to go through security again?

Thank you very much for helping with this. We got such a great fare $267 one way from PHL to LAX so I don't want to have to cancel since I can't find anything close to that now.

No, you do not have to get your luggage or go through security again. The airline transfers your luggage to your connecting flight. As for security, security checks are performed when you are entering the terminal. When changing flights, you are already inside the terminal, so there is no need to go through security again.

Thank you very much for this response. It made me feel a lot better since I knew if we had to do all that, there was no way we'd make the connecting flight.
