Lucy I'm Home a DCL TR The FINALE !!!

The next morning I watched from the Verandah ( no coffee) as we pulled into Nassau

This small boat sailed beside us as we docked , not sure why :confused3

Thanks to Karin's advise we headed to Royal Palace for breakfast

We perused the menu and helped those who could not read

Here are the various choices

This I think was the Trio which was a popular one

Pancakes and bacon and let's add whipped cream:rotfl2:

The pineapple stack another hit especially with our healthy eater Nancy

This was mine and another gal had it too EGGS BENEDICT :goodvibes

Well now is the time to reveal the reason for the Title!!Somehow the guys started talking about the LUCY Show and all saying "LUCY I'm Home " The leader of this was Kevin and we nicknamed him Lucy for the rest of the trip !! The guys all got a huge charge outta this including Kevin:rotfl2:So it was just a No Brainer what the TR should be called !!:goodvibes. Bryan became Ethel and liked that too :rotfl2: Things like this are what Bond the guys and make for a FUN trip!!!

Lucy and Ethel..............LOVE IT!!! :woohoo: I still love watching reruns of old I Love Lucy episodes! :goodvibes

I've never had eggs benedict, but if you keep posting pictures that look so good I may just have to break down and try them! :scratchin

I'm guessing Wooden Marv must have slept in this morning.........or he hung around the verandah hoping for coffee. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Purely a guess, but that small boat may be the one which brings the Harbor Master out to board the ship and bring it in to dock. This is usually a specialized function that is turned over to someone who is very familiar with the local waters and experienced at navigating them. The actual ship's captain (at least on freighters coming into port) don't usually perform this function. :confused3

Hi Rosie! Not sure i have posted yet on this thread but have been lurking and really enjoying your tales about your cruise! Need to get organized and start my own first cruise trip report...

Sounds like you had a great group to travel with!!

Let me warn you though that for some reason that stuff they call Canadian Bacon is nowhere near as delicious as real bacon (both the US and the UK version!). I have no idea why the Canadians have to suffer with that stuff as their bacon and have slight suspicions that they eat proper bacon, too. Therefore my preference goes to Egg Florentine which avoids the weird bacon and supplements it with spinach. Of course that only works for people who like spinach...

I was wondering if it indeed had somwthing to do with I love Lucy or the Lucy show. Love the show and Lucy.

Is Kevin the same one that went to Disney last year? I thought I caught a glimpse of him in a picture. :confused3

Rosie, I love the Lucy and Ethel theme (Mark watches the reruns all of the time). The food looks so yummy...especially that trio.

I kinda thought the same about the boat , but wasn't sure !! As for Coffee on the veranda (where have I heard that before, once I managed to figure out the cabin phone , which for technically challenged folks was not easy !!:rotfl2:I ordered us coffee a few times and we LOVED sitting on the Veranda enjoying our caffeine !!! I love eggs benedict and the sausage that came with them was delish , the fried tomato was a special treat , so British !!!

I don't mind the bacon, but have to admit sausage would be better !!!!

Yes it was the same Kevin from Disney !! I really enjoy some repeat travelers , some not so much as in Miss Sherry !!!:rolleyes2

Yes it just became such a part of our trip ,that I had to make it the title !! Kevin was such a sport about it, he is a great guy !! Very independent and very helpful with the travelers who needed it !!!!:goodvibes

I can attest to that first hand. Kevin was very helpful with holding onto or was that dragging our girl that was usually at the end of our line. ::yes::

That was him !! She did much better with him than us !!!:rotfl2: This year we have another dawdler !! He went to Universal with us and kept playing with his cell phone and getting behind !1This year I am sure Carol will take the DANG thing if he does it again!!!:rotfl2:

That eggs benedict looks so good. I drooled on Karin's TR and now you've got me drooling again. :rotfl:

A verandah without coffee? Don't let Cynthia hear that! :lmao:

Very familiar with Canadian Bacon. It is what is used on the ever popular Egg McMuffin at Mickey D's..........although more like ham than bacon. I like spinach, so the Eggs Florentine sound good also. :thumbsup2

Yes, Rosie and giggles is definitely synonymous. ::yes::

They can keep the fried tomato, but the rest sounds delish! As for good sausage with it.........YUM!!!

Believe me we were delighted to have coffee on the veranda !!!!

I bet you don't like Fried Green Tomatoes either !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2: Apart from Maple syrup I have become very Americanized in my dining including GRITS!!!!:rotfl2:

After our delicious breakfast we went to our meeting spot for our tour !!! We had booked the Glass Bottom Boat Tour !! We bought bottles of water on a really neat lanyard for everyone , for some reason I don't seem to have a pix . We walked off the boat and went thru the security and had our ID;s/room cards checked and then started about a 10 minute walk to the boat!! Half way there Bryan decided he was out of breath and had to sit down , now he is talking away with no signs of shortness of breathe and was getting pretty adamant about not walking any more , Carole and I were sure he was just LAZY , so we firmly told him to get up and MOVE it !! He complied :rotfl2: So we made it to the boat

Our guide was great

and we were off , I tried a little Pole Dancing :rotfl2:

Marv enjoyed the view:lmao:

We learnt that the water is clear it is the bottom of the oceon that gives it the color

Our guide pointed out Homes of famous people, Elvis had owned a house , Michael Jackson and Mary Kay, who he said had a pink roof a pink car and even dyed her dog pink:rotfl2:

We were soon out to where the fihes were and went downstairs to view them. The pix aren't to good , but we did see a lot of fish , however not many brightly colored ones

The guys enjoyed the Trivia game on the way back, as the girl who lead us to the boat kept giving them the answers:rotfl2: and they all won keychains :dance3:
We headed back to the dock and saw where we wanted to head for lunch

Cont from previous post!!!

Lunch at Senor Frogs was great

Don't ya LOVE the ears !!!!:rotfl2:

We perused the menu and decided on an appetizer platter for 2 , but we got 5 of them !!

They were huge and delish !!!

After lunch we walked along the docks

We then made the HUGE mistake of going in the Straw Market, those gals were PESTS and Pushy , it was a nightmare with our guys ,I did manage to buy T Shirts for myself and the kids , and a wooden elephant for Judy's boyfried , and a really cute picture frame for Judy !! Then we found the Rum store and I purchased a Rum cake . We did some more shopping in regular stores where there was NO pressure and then headed back to the boat.

Back in our cabins we found these

All freshened up we headed to the Theater to see

Stay tuned for our second supper !!

Pole dancing already? It sure didn't take long for that to happen. :rotfl2:

Too funny that you had to coax one of the guys just to make it to the boat. Sounds like a great tour.

Of course post cruise food was involved. Looks yummy!

Shopping sounds fun, although more than a little hectic with trying to watch everyone and warding off pushy merchants.
