Lucky enough to have free time in TP

We are lucky enough to be able to do EMM in TSL on our HS day and DAH on our MK day. That takes a lot of pressure off to hit ride after ride after ride during regular park hours. So, here's my question: if you are lucky enough to be able to take a leisurely approach to your touring plan - what would you like to be able to see or do? My examples are Citizens of Hollywood in HS and Burudika in AK.

For me at the MK it means I can stop and watch the Dapper Dans or other musical groups, stop in gift shops, let my son wander around the shop in Mainstreet USA. Actually I don't like it unless my touring plan has an hour or two of slack time, as I find that recently crowd predictions have been more than expected. My last MK day was estimated to be a 6, but ended up being an 8 with longer lines. Just people watching is fun too and you can always hit a favorite ride a second time.

Dapper Dans! Great one. Our predicted CL is 4. Touring Plans has us done with our biggest wish list by our 5:30 ADR. I figure if we are on track we’ll either slow down and smell the roses or smell them after dinner. Thanks for the suggestions.

I love to spend time at Tom Sawyer's Island in the MK. It's probably one of my favorite spots in all of Disney. Dh and I got to go to Hannibal last summer and went in the actual caves the books are based on so it's fun to see the replicas at Disney.

Great idea. I don’t think we’ve ever done it.

I love watching the street entertainment like the Jamming Chefs (I believe they are the Jaminators when its not Food and Wine Fest).
Last time I also got silhouettes done of my kids in the Magic Kingdom. Liberty Belle and riding the train the whole loop are also favorites of my family.

NEVER?! Okay you definitely need to take some time over there. It's amazing! I love the fort and all of the caves.

Crazy, right? First time we were there kids were perfect age and somehow it never happened. Then there was the grandparent trip and we needed to minimize the walking to keep Grandpa happy. Last trip was a whirlwind three day extravaganza over Presidents Day that included a day at Universal. Maybe we'll actually get there this time.

Definitely try to if you have time. It’s fun to go through the caves and get a picture by the painted fence. I’m also kind of a loser and love the barrel bridge lol

There is NO shame in loving the barrel bridge! It was my favorite thing on the island as a kid, and I think it’s just as fun in my 30s.

As you are nearing dusk, there are often 'street painters' that paint with a bucket of water and a broom. I have seen them in MK & EPCOT. I also see some fund games on the ground at EPCOT, and I think MK does them. Just a little different for sure.

The kids may enjoy the Sorcerer game or the Pirates game. Sorcerer is free, and each person can get a pack of 5 cards. They become fun collectibles also (I am down to the final 2 cards to have the set).

Pressed pennies are another thing that can get you hooked. It costs 2 quarters, and the penny you will press into a medallion. Another thing that if you get started, you go after all the machines to collect them.

We just did pressed pennies for the first time this last trip and it was a lot of fun! It ended up getting pretty pricey for us though

Tom Sawyer Island gets another vote here.

For DHS I barely get to see my first choice items, so I have yet to get to dig deeper. I do feel like the lack of an afternoon parade anymore opens up the touring by about an hour.

American Adventure and the Voices of Liberty get my vote at EPCOT.
