LUCKY #13 ~ A PRE-TRIP REPORT.

First a disclaimer. I’m no Utahmama, DebIreland, Fairytale Bride or oybolshoi. (Love all you guys, mean it! ) I use few words and a lot of pictures. I couldn’t think of cute names for us all. I couldn’t even think of a cute name for this trip report! And I do tend to overuse exclamation points!!!!! See? I feel kind of foolish even posting a pretrip and trip report. But I’m about to jump out of my skin waiting for this trip. I believe this is the longest we’ve been between trips since 2003. I’m in need of a Disney fix!!!!! (More excess use.) So with that said, let’s press on, shall we?

LUCKY#13

Dates: June 8-20
Place: SSR
This is our first time at SSR! We are so excited!!!

Cast of characters:
Hmm, how do I describe my family? They are all one of a kind. I’d rather be with them than anywhere else. They are silly, fun-loving and just generally a hoot. I’ll never be able to write them accurately enough, but I’m gonna try. And here they are, in no particular order.

DH~ the leader of our merry band. He’s a big, mean police officer by day, a big ole Disney geek by night. He listens to ever single Disney podcast out there and he is responsible for most of our pics. He got a fancy new digital camera recently and is looking forward to trying to capture the fireworks, especially Illuminations. When I get too serious about anything, he always makes me laugh (or gives me chocolate.)

Jake~ the most creative kid I know. He is technical and organized, even makes his own movies. Claymation is his big passion now. He loves WDW. Not a big rider, he loves figuring out how the rides work and trying to get behind the magic. He is so excited about Star Wars Weekend!!! Even though he is a teenager, I can still see the little boy I knew shining through, especially at WDW.

Em~ my warrior princess. She knows her own mind, but still wears her heart on her sleeve. She will try anything and has the scars to prove it. She and DH are our riders. Even though she is tough, she still loves Pooh and all his friends.

Then there’s me. I’m in constant countdown mode. I’m a planner, although I’m trying to chill out some. I don’t want to spend so much time getting us from place to place, that I forget where I am. Minnie Mouse is my idol and I adore Off Kilter. I love all things Disney. My dream is to work there, making people’s vacations as magical as mine have been.

This is our longest trip so far. Our last two days will be at Kennedy Space Center which we are very excited about. There’s a Shuttle launch on June 28 so the shuttle should be on the platform!!

So with those details out of the way, here’s the line up!

June 8~ Check in and Downtown Disney
June 9~ MK with lunch at Casey’s
June10~ Star Wars weekend at MGM!!!!! ADR at Sci-Fi
June 11~ Epcot
June 12~ Disney Quest, possibly afternoon at AK
June 13~ MK breakfast ADR at Crystal palace
June 14~ AK breakfast ADR at Donald’s breakfastasaurus
June 15~ Late Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s with Epcot
June 16~ Off in morning, possibly MK evening
June 17~ Star Wars Weekend at MGM
June 18~ Epcot, Lunch at Garden Grill
June 19~ checkout, Kennedy Space center check in in Savannah
June 20~ home

That’s really an overview. I’m working out a much more detailed schedule. I welcome any comments or suggestions. I’ve got lots more plans to make. Thanks for reading.

I loved your pretrippie!!!!! (please note overuse of exclamation points!) Not a day goes by that I'm not obsessing about our trip, so I figured I'd just share it all and maybe the time will go faster!! But not too fast. I still have to lose 20 pounds and find ten perfect outfits!!

59 MORE DAYS...... and I've become obsessed with t-shirts!! Should we match? Should we not match? We got supplies for the Tye Dye Mickey Shirts, but Em's was too small. Darn her growth spurts!! Doesn't she know she's not allowed to grow anymore once I've bought clothes?!? A C Moore had no more white shirts, so now I have to wait until Thursday until we can go to WalMart . I can't wait to show you the designs! Those people on the Creative Dis-signs board are sick of me!!

Dont they always go slow when you are waiting for something fun????
We are going to be there June 19-25. It looks like by your dates we are overlapping. I always like to be found I am bring some LGMH's in hopes I will run into other disers

No, we are not staying on site. As a matter of fact, we have never stayed on site. We try to do Disney the "budget" way. Although it is my dream one day to stay at the AKL
I just found out yesterday my parents plan on joining us for a few days in Disney. They are living in South Florida(Retired there 4 yrs ago). I am excited they are going, but on the other hand, I am afraid they will slow us down Either way, I know we will have a great time.
I enjoyed all the pictures you just posted. Kids growup so darn fast.. sometimes I wish we could freeze time.

Love the pictures throught the years! I did a scrapbook about 2 yrs ago like that through the years. It is fun to look at how my sister and I had grown and how the parks look slightly different. Of course I have to add two more trip to it and then my Disneymoon coming up!!!

Can't wait to see the t-shirts that you make!! I am going to attempt to make some for MNSSHP.

I'm sorry we'll miss you. I know you are excited your parents will be with you. I felt the same way (about being slowed down) when we took my husband's parent down in 2005, but we have memories from that trip that I wouldn't trade for the world. Glad you liked the pics!!

We love the Chewbacca pic too. The first thing the kids said when they saw it was, "Wow Daddy has Hair!!"
We are loving your trip report. I was reading it and had to walk away leaving the compromising pic of Plankton in the little boat on the screen. When I came back into the room, DH was standing there, staring. He looked up at me, and said, "What the h-- have you been reading??!?!" We are both hooked. Keep up the good work and have a great trip. I'll definitely be needing your trip report when we get back to get over the post-Disney funk.

57 MORE DAYS and ……..we went to see Meet the Robinsons. Loved it! The 3-D was amazing. You see, I usually can’t see 3-D stuff. Mickey’s Philharmagic? Just a bunch of lines and shadowy shapes. But I could see this one!! I thought the story was great and the quote at the end…. Squirting tears, baby! I added it to my signature.
What does this have to do with my trip? I’m smuggling in those glasses! Will they help? I don’t know, but they definitely make a fashion statement.
And I've finally found a Disney character who's like me. Lucille!! OK, let me stress, it's young Lucille, the judge from the science fair. The body shape, the caffeine addiction, the quirkiness.....yep, it's ME!! Think about me if you see it, OK?

Loved your trip report - so glad you started your pre-trippie! (!!!!!!!!!!)

We'll be there the same time We'll be there June 8 - 17, and have some of the same plans. Definately have to keep and eye out for you and your beautiful family.

Question for you about your shirts - how do you do your white mickey heads? Is it bleach, or do you not put dye on those areas? Very unique - love them! Although, we are fast running out of days to wear all our shirts I've made/had ideas for on the design thread! (!!!!!!!!!!)
