Luau at Aulani?

Is there one to book ahead of time? We will be there in September and I would like to book it. What is it called?

Aulani does not offer one specifically. They have Starlit Hui which is a free show with some Luau type entertainment, but no food.
Paradise Cove is a luau venue that is within walking distance. They offer 3 tiers. I suggest doing the middle or upper tier vs. the bottom one.

We are going to be at Aulani in late September.. we have never been there before, and looked at many many reviews from several of the different luau's. We decided on the "Fia Fia" luau at the Marriott Ko Olina... its just down the beach a piece, and not sure if its walking distance, but it appears to be very close..

It is only held on Tuesday nights, and you can make reservations 30 days in advance..( have to call the concierge desk at the Marriott ).

There is a shuttle bus that goes to the Mariott. It is the next stop on their route, but coming back is slower as the bus stops at the golf course club, then the shopping district, then Aulani (with long pauses at each stop).
The Mariott is a short walking distance from Aulani as well. We preferred walking along the water. It takes 15-30 min.

I am planning to go to Aulani next year and have been researching some of the luaus. GoHawaii.com is the official Hawaii visitors site and well worth a look. They list several luaus on Oahu including the Polynesian Cultural Center and the one at Paradise Cove. If you take the link for excursions on the Aulani page on the DVC member site the excursion company lists several different ones, some with transportation available. Has anyone booked any of these? The Polynesian Cultural Center looks interesting because of all the opportunities to learn about Polynesian culture. And I have seen it recommended in other places.

The PCC is quite a distance (the other side of the island). The luau itself is really good...one of the best, but is ran by the local BYU (Mormons) so no alcohol is served. I personally prefer a Mai Tai with my luau experience.
We enjoyed our experience at Paradise Cove. You cannot beat the location (next to Four Seasons). The show was great and the food and drinks were good. We opted for the Orchid seating. My cousin who lives on O'ahu knows the accountant at Paradise Cove, so he did hook us up with a great price and the best seats available for our seating.

We have been to PCC, Paradise Cove and Marriott's luaus. I would recommend Paradise Cove or Marriott. I like the atmosphere and activities at Paradise Cove, but the show and food at Marriott were better (we did Marriott's before it became Fia Fia though). The only thing I didn't like about Marriott's was that it was not private enough. There were people standing in the lobby and outside the roped area watching the show along with us. Last time we were in Ko Olina, we just watched it from our balcony. If I were to pay $90 and up for a luau, I would want it to be a little more private.
