What are people's opinions on comparison's between these two places? My son wanted Chef Mickey's, but there are no openings the night I wanted (which is fine by me, as I've been there many times, and was less than impressed the last couple). My initial thought was LTT, but he'll be somewhat disapointed if he doesn't see Mickey. How does the character interaction compare between the two? How about the food? I know I was told to steer clear of GG last year, but it seems they have gone back to their other menu? Thanks.

My DF and I have done both, and we love GG so much more than LTT. The food at GG was 10 times better, and so was the service. I do not recall seing Micky while at GG, but we did not see him at LTT either. Hope this helps some.

I've never been to LTT, but I have been to Chef Mickey's dinner and Garden Grill dinner. My family really liked the Garden Grill. My kids thought the rotating restaurant was so cool and that the food we were eating was from the greenhouses we had seen a few minutes earlier on the boat ride. And the character interaction was great, even more than at Chef Mickey's. I believe we did eat pretty late that night, the restaurant was full when we were seated, but cleared out while we were eating, so maybe that's why the characters were at our table so often. They were quite playful, and it wasn't only one character at a time, I'm pretty sure we saw Chip and Dale there together.... To tell you the truth, I can't even recall what we ate there, but whatever it was, my kids liked it, and were quite happy with the whole experience. I do recall the kids loving the salad.

For both of our trips, Garden Grill was the best restaurant that we ate at....last trip was May. Character interaction was great. Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale all came to our table twice. Seating is much better than most places..booths and tables are all set up so that it doesn't feel like you are eating with every one else. Food was great...family style...included catfish (my favorite), flank steak, pork loin, cheese potatoes, veggies, and a dessert sampler.

On our last trip we had the GG for lunch and dinner at LTT. GG was good, but it didn't even compare to the food or character interaction at LTT. The service at GG was very slow, and our server didn't want to bring more out to DH. The characters were good, but they just didn't spend very much time with our children. We ate there at 130, so it wasn't very busy. We would probably eat there again, but if I had to pick between the two I would go to LTT. If your child wants good interaction time with Mickey go to the judge's tent in toontown fair, Mickey spent a lot of one on one time with the kids. They only let a couple of families in at a time. For a moment it felt like Mickey just belonged to them.

I have never been to either, but my Sis IL wanted GG because she likes it more that LTT, so we are going there in August.

Another vote for GG, the food was superb, it was nice and quiet, and the servers and character interaction have been top notch the three times I've eaten there.
