On this trip, my dd(11) and I want to do one character meal. My hubby and ds (13) are indifferent. We have done CRT and Chef Mickey's previously and want to try something new. I am thinking it would be best to do a character meal in a park instead of a resort (more time to ride rides). Both Garden Grill and LTT sound great. Which would you choose and why? All comments are appreciated!

We LOVE Garden Grill. The food is so amazing. They use alot of what they grow or local grown/organic ,so the menu changes often, and it always seems so fresh. The characters are Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. The best part has to be dessert though- its a chocolate fondu with differnt things to dip like sponge cake, cookies, fruit, gummi worms etc... plus it's a rotating restaurant. Overall just a great dinner and a fun time.

sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the dessert at GG has changed... it's now a platter of mini desserts (ds is allergic to nuts, so we were unable to have them and got itzakadoozie ice pops instead, but i recall some sort of little lemon tart and other things similar)

that being said... i'd still vote for garden grill... it's always been one of our family's faves... we went to both on our summer trip and enjoyed it more... we went to LTT this past winter trip and really missed garden grill... the food is better, the atmosphere is better, the revolving restaurant is neat, the character interaction is better (no one from the next table yelling "mickey! mickey! mickey!" the entire time he is at your table 'cause the way it's laid out, the booths are very private)... overall a better meal!

NOOOOO!!! Man that stinks :sad1: Oh well- we still love the place. I would still choose it in a heartbeat over LTT.

We love them both and do them both on each of our trips. If I had to choose one, it would be the Garden Grill. The atmosphere is great, the food is very good and the character interaction has always been unbeatable.

We love the Garden Grill b/c of the food, the theme, and all the interaction with the characters. I would go with that one hands down. :thumbsup2

We love both but the character interaction is better at Garden Grill. ::MickeyMo

I recently cancelled my adr at Coral Reef to Garden Grill-nice to read the positive reviews! We have a restaurant called the "Aquarium" in Houston so I decided to try something more Disney!

We have never done GG but we do enjoy LTT for it's "Thanksgiving" type meal. I also am wondering if with the right timing if you could possibly see the parade from a window table. Another question to research.
