Can anyone do up anything for our trip to the Lowry Park Zoo in Florida? We are going in June 2009. Our last name is Stevenson, and here are our names:

I've always wanted to feed the giraffe at Lowry Park but we never seem to remember cash. And we live just across the bridge from there! Make sure you do when you go!

Tomorrow is $5 day at the zoo if anyone wants to fight some INSANE crowds!

Thank you so much for the info and the feames, they look great! My DS really wants to see a manatee, so that is mainly why we are going. My kids also want to ride the camel! LOL! I am hoping that is will be a fun day for our family!

Here's the logo for Lowry park zoo. This is the one by the main entrance. We were just there with my boys for cub scouts. I see you're going to adventure island as well. I have been there only once. Had a great time. My boys aren't into the water slides yet.

Maybe you can use this too.

Judy, thank you so much for the info, I appreciate it! We are going in about two weeks and we are so excited! My son really wants to see a live manatee, so that is the main reason we are going. Any other things we should do while we are in the area? My daughter and hubby are into the water slides while me and my son are more the lazy river type...We will be in the Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater area.

Well, there are several manatees there. My 2 oldest had fun feeding the stingrays. Where are you from? It will start being hot and very muggy, but it's still better than summer when it's in the upper 90's. We live in St. Pete. I don't know how old your kids are, but Busch Gardens is across from Adventure Island. Alot of roller coasters, my kids are still young for that. You know from Tampa, you're only about 1 hr away from Disney, Sea World, and Universal. How long are you here for? The beaches in St. Pete and Clearwater are nice. We live very close to the beaches in Treasure Island. My kids liked Florida Aquarium in Tampa, and the MOSI(Museum of Science and Industries). I just know whenever given the chance, my kids want to do the 1 1/2 hr ride to Orlando. My 2 oldest (9&7) love Islands of Adventure. Hope you have a great time.

Hi Judy, we are heading to Adventure Island as well! My DD 13 loves the waterslides, my DS 7 and I tend to do the lazy river route...this year, for our first night, we are going to stay at the Nick Hotel in Orlando, we have went to Disney the past two years and this year they wanted to do something different, plus, our DS has never been to the beach or ocean. I will look into the stringray feeding for sure! We are from Indiana and we will be heading your way in about a week...
