I don't know if most people know/care but a lot of the drinks I see in the alcoholic beverage thread are really full of sugars. Does anyone out there know if they offer sugar free options at any of the bars? I know they have sugar free mixes at the store, so I was curious if Disney had any there.

Well, not sure about the fruity drinks, but I usually go with Vodka & Club soda. Or rum & diet coke. Carb free. :thumbsup2

I am not much of a drinker but I get a michalob ultra for low carbs in a beer....there is another beer out that is low carbs too.......because I am a diabetic...
when it is wicked hot in Disney I love a good cold beer

I kind of fear this will be my only option too, although I do vodka with diet coke. I want a pretty fruity thing :sad1:

I think that is the beer my DH drinks. I think he also drinks an Amstel Light. I on the other hand think beer is :crazy2:. Thanks for the suggestion though.

How about sharing one with DH. That way you'll only get half the carbs. My husband makes a drink of rum, club soda and a splash of pineapple juice. Maybe you'd like that.

Wines can be low in carbs. The beer I like is HIGH in carbs and calories. I think Guiness has 0 carbs. But you don't seem to be talking beer. ;)

A few months back I started limiting my beer to a few nights a week and switched to wine. I compared calories and carbs between white wine and beer. Beer Bad. Wine Good. I like beer more than wine but I found some wine that is drinkable. :rotfl: I have lost 12 pounds since our last WDW trip buy switching from beer to wine.

Later,
Dan

Guinness has about 12-15g of carbs per serving.

an average glass of beer vs. a glass of wine has relatively the same calorie count (100-125) :)

I've researched this like crazy for my diet. I stick to Guinness though because I love it and it's one of the 'healthier' beers for you due to the antioxidants, etc.

My drink of choice if I want 'fruity' is vodka with grapefruit or pineapple juice, and a splash of diet 7up or sprite. still somewhat fruity!

I have done the diet coke with rum more then once for a lighter drink that would also work for a low carb drink.

Well maybe I can pretend to be fancy and have them throw a pretty glowing ice cube in my diet coke and vodka and call it done. I just want a pretty glowing thingy.:rolleyes1
