anyone have either of these? was set on the toploader then saw the off trail and wondering how much difference there is size wise( i don't see that the off trail can be used as a shoulder but figure i probably could attach a strap) mainly concerned about 70-200 f4 fitting although i probably could get a lens case to hook on for that if need be...not sure how much these modular type systems would clunk around when you wear them...any ideas would be helpful...i really don't need another camera bag to sit in the closet cause it isn't what i thought it would be:rotfl2:

started a new thread cause i didn't want to commandeer pooh jen's

i have the toploader and it was fantastic when in had my rebel 2k, not sure what you are shooting with, but my digital rebel barely fits in it with any lens, because i have the battery grip. without the grip, you should be fine, i love this bag, and bought the big belt to go with it. the shoulder harness is a joke and placing a lens or 2 on the toploader compartment is kind of iffy. but with the fat belt, you can line stuff up all the way around it and it's great. i've carried a couple of lenses, a small case with batteries and film(in those days) and a nalgene water bottle parka with a lexan bottle of water in it comfortably for hours at a time.

if i remember right the off trail was not as beefy and didn't have the rain cover.

fwiw,
rob

thanks i ended up with a tamrac system 2 since pack mule aka hubby liked that one best to carry plus it has a piggyback thing so it can fit on his art supply backpack...so basically nothing what i thought i 'd get:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
