Low Sodium Diets?

We are very excited to have booked our 7-Day Land/Sea trip for next May! My father is on a very low sodium diet and is already worrying about what he's going to eat in the resort/park restaurants. He remembers his last trip there in 1992 being filled with lots of rich, sodium laden foods and knows he can't eat that way this time.

Has anyone had any experience eating Disney-style while trying to maintain a low sodium lifestyle at the same time?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I recently went with my MIL who is on Gluten-free. I would suggest making PS's at restaurants and having them note on your PS that he is on a low-sodium diet. When you check in - ask to speak to the chef. This worked fabulous for us and they are very accomodating.

At counter service places they do have nutrition info - just ask the cashier. We try and eat "healthy" even at DW and found many healthy food choices. We never ate a french fry or chips the whole time! There is a fruit stand in every park - it will be marked on your map. I found excellent choices at the Sunshine Food Court in the Land in Epcot. I thought Tusker House in AK - while it gets mixed reviews here - had good healthy choices. All of the resort food courts had salad and vegetarian choices too. The most difficult place for me is MK. We usually go to Cosmic Ray's in tommorrowland or get fruit in Mickey's toon town or go back to our resort!

Hope that helps - and don't worry - they will be very accomodating!
