Low-key place to eat at MK?

We will be spending 2 days at MK--can anyone give me a low-key, but good place to eat there. I think we are doing The Plaza the first day. Thanks!

If you want table service, you are limited. There is only the Plaza and Tony's that are not character meals. I have not heard good things about Tony's lately, but I have never tried it. I would love to eat there and get a patio seat though.

Liberty Tree Tavern was great, but again, there are characters. We did not find it noisy though like the other character meals.

You could always hop on the monorail and head to Kona, Concourse Steak or Grand Floridia Cafe.

I second Columbia Harbor House. Good food, nice atmosphere. Try going upstairs.

Upstairs at C.H.H. It is quiet. Low noise. We ate their the day before Thanksgiving and upstairs was nice. Notice I said UPSTAIRS. Remember: UPSTAIRS. :rotfl:

I love the Plaza! In all our years we had never eaten there. We went for the first time in August and it is now probably our favorite in MK! Reasonable prices too.

another vote for Columbia Harbor House...

what have you heard about TOny's. We are planning on going there in Feb.

If you do a search with Tony's in the subject, you should find some recent reviews. I personally think that with pasta (or italian in general) you have to take reviews with a grain of salt because people's tastes vary so much. I mean a great steak is a great steak, but some people like their sauce a certain way, pasta a certain way, and all are different. Does that make any sense? Anyway, the reviews I have read were just that the food wasn't that great. I however think I would still like to try it and see for myself. Especially if I can sit on the patio!

If you're looking for a table service lunch, both Tony's and Liberty Tree Tavern are good. Liberty Tree is not Characters at lunch.

If you go for Tony's, we love their Pasta Primavera, but I'd advise against the tomato based pastas. Their Sandwiches are good, too. Most reviews I've read say Tony's is better at lunch rather than dinner.

For counter service, both Cosmic Rays (burgers, hot dogs, etc) and Columbia Harbor House are tasty. I've also seen good reviews for the new menu at Pinocchio Village Haus, but I haven't personally eaten there.

Another vote for Harbour House UPSTAIRS. Good food and the upstairs is off the beaten path

I vote for the Plaza, or Tonys for a quiet TS. And I would not advise Cosmic Rays if you want quiet. I love CR's, but quiet it isnt:)

What about a hotdog from Casey's(soo good) and it is take away so you can find your own spot and have lunch looking at the castle.

The food is definetly counter service quality, but both times we were there, there were no lines, and plenty of seating available. I enjoyed the escape from burgers.
