Lovesickness: What crazy things have you done for/while in love?

We've probably all been there once or twice ... caught up in that crazy feeling of love. It can cause us to do and say bizarre things sometimes. Maybe you can't sleep, talk nonsense, got lost going home ...

What is the craziest thing you ever did or saw someone else do after Cupid hit his target?



I tend not to sleep and always got better grades in school while in love. So much for the "stay away from boys" advice my GM gave me when I went to College.

*sigh* I've done/still do so many crazy things I wouldn't even know where to start.

In college, I skipped all my classes and just talked and talked for the whole night. Spend thousands of dollars on phones (that's before email system).

Never again.

I serenaded a 4th floor window at a dorm....

It seems like talking all the time, whenever it could get snuck in... Skiny dipping.....drove 600 miles in each direction for about 4 hours of time, in one day. Flew to where he lived for a few moments of stolen time. Got a hotel room for just a few hours....walked in the rain...Sent silly love notes. Got caught in the back seat by the cops ....boy the things you do when you are young...now well it is a different story...lol

Ah gee, where to start? DH and I played alot of games while dating. Very technicolor. I'm so glad we got that out of our system, our dating years were traumatic, LOL.

What I remember most clearly is me giving him ultimatums and him driving all over the place to be with me. It started when I wanted to go to NYU, he wanted to stay at home and go to school. So I moved up to Manhattan to go to school, my heart just aching for him, but I knew if I gave in I'd end up staying at home, which I really didn't want to do. Eventually he saw the light and realized he couldn't live a day without me so he applied for and got into NYU. Lots of stuff along that line.

I can remember back then spending alot of time crying, listening to sad songs that reminded me of him, having huge arguments and then making up hugely. Very much like a roller coaster. How we turned out to be such a low keyed married couple is beyond me. My in-laws and my parents were seriously concerned when we got married, but I truly think it was good we got that out of our system during the dating days. We very rarely argue and marriage has been surprisingly easy for us, considering our up and down dating history.
