She was one of the hardsest punk rockers left during the 80s. The picture has a hint to her name...but do you know the name of the band she lead BEFORE attempting the solo career...also, another interesting fact...the members of KISS were the back up band for the album pictured above...YES, KISS was so in awe of this freakazoid that they agreed to be her studio band for the recording. Of coarse, that may be because Gene Simmons was the producer!!!

WAIT, WAIT, WAIT!!!

This thread is moving too fast.

I have a Wendy O. Williams story!

I was a student at the University of Florida in the fall of 1981, when Wendy O. and the Plasmatics performed a free concert right there on campus!

I will never forget it.

They performed at an outside band-shell.

The crowd was wild.

There were all kinds of pyrotechnics.

At one point, one of Wendy's pasties fell off! I thought I was going to die right there in the ensuing riot!

Good times.

Oh yes, I forgot to mention the opening act of this free show was Charles Rocket (any body remember him- I didn't think so).

And thus proves the point -- all good things must come to an end. Have you seen her lately!? Makes me feel better when I realize I'm not the only one who might not be aging so well! Misery does love company. :rotfl:

I have this one on a compilation CD right now! I have tons of ol'school, funk, freestyle stuff. Extra points if you can name the song they sampled for the bass line. :happytv:

Yes I did!

I can't say that I exactly remember too much, other than the wardrobe malfunction. That left quite an impression on a young college boy.

Ooops, got my dates wrong. The song I was thinking of stole the bass line from Fly Girls. The one I was going for was 1985's Let's Go All The Way by Sly Fox (GREAT SONG, listening to it now, yes it's on my iPod). Oh well, I'm a poor mix master!

Ok, here's another one... who are they, or better, what's their top song from '88?

"I come home in the morning light my father says when you gonna live your life right? Oh Daddy dear you know you're still not the one! And girls, they wanna have fu-un...oh girls just wanna have fun!":dance3:
