Do you love your name or hate it? Personally, I love my name. It's a little unusual but not strange and it's shared by a current celebrity. (Although now everyone spells my name wrong because they spell it like the celebrity spells it. Bonus, though, because at least people pronounce it correctly now!) What about your name?

I don't mind my name. I just hated that I could never find anything personalized when I was growing up. I either had to buy Ann or Marie, there was never Annmarie, which must be why everytime I see something with the name Nicole I buy it for my daughter.

I don't really like my name. No offense to other Tamie's (or Tammy, Tammie, Tami) out there, but I've always just thought it sounded kinda goofy. Not elegent, not mature, not even cute, just kinda blah.

I don't really care for Kim. I do like Kimberly though and that is how I introduce myself.

Luke warm to mine.

I always felt like I should have been named Kate, for whatever reason. I just feel like a Kate.

I cannot stand my name. No one can spell it right. It sounds so stupid. I know a few people who named their dogs Heidi, but not their children.

I don't mind my name. But like Annmarie, I can never find anything personalized. It's bad enough my parents named me Traci with an I, but then they went and added the -lyn. You can never find that in any store. You can hardly find Traci.

But overall, I like my name because it's a little different.

Don't mind my name... not very common... and for some reason people can't seem to spell it right a lot of the time. Even my BIL can't get it right  I can find it sometimes on personalized things, but if there is just a "standard" selection I won't be able to. Seems though, a lot more people have Elaine as a middle name than a first... I've been told by many that it is an "older name" since many have it as a middle name due to grandmothers & greatgrandmothers.

I hated my name growing up. We moved a lot and every time I went into a new class at school I was embarassed when the teacher came to my name on the roll and stopped. I would raise my hand and say "that's me!."

Top it all off, my maiden name is German and 13 letters long. I always said I would only marry someone named Smith, Jones or Adams (I didn't).

I like my name now. It is a good conversation starter and it is original. But I wasn't original with my kids' names - Hannah and Emily. They won't have to go through what I did.

It's not that I hate my name..I hate what other people do to it- it only has 3 letters, people..use them..lol.My Mom thought she was doing my sister and I a favor..unfortunately it backfired..my first name is Sue..simple,right?Nope-they call me Susan..and I try to correct them gently, but they just don't stop-and it's always the same peolple that do this..so now I don't answer..it's not my name, and they may as well call me George..Mom did the same to my sister-she's Kathy-that's it.This is just a pet peeve of mine-thanks for letting me vent.

I like my name because it is different but I don't like the spelling because it always throws people off a bit. I had all kinds of pronunciations growing up. I still to this day have NEVER found any personalized stuff either. I understand the whole dilemma on wanting to name your child something unique but parents don't tend to realize what if might mean to that child as they grow up.

My name is Holly...What do you think? It sounds like a Christmas Jingle. And I wasn't even born in December:confused:

I have always loved my name, as long as you don't call me Kristen or even worse, Kris. I did hate that I could never find any personalized stuff growing up. My sisters are Lisa and Kim so they always got stuff but not me. Now, I just love that fact that there is a whole series of books and a doll with my name. princess:

I always liked my name - Suzanne - even though most of the time I'm called Sue or Suzie and Sue is how I sign most of my letters.

Occasionally someone calles me Suzanne and I think it's kinda neat. It seems to be more popular now than it was when I was growing up.

I feel your pain!

Dopey and Grumpy-I like you're name also-my complaint is that it isn't MY name-but they call me all of those anyway-I've even gone so far as to pull out my driver's license..and it says Sue- lol-I swear they don't believe me.
