our family is going to WDW in May, previous trips to WDW I've always done by myself , the last time being in 2007 and always during off-season in May so Fastpasses have never been much of a concern to me. Although I usually got them when they were convenient, it meant most rides were a walk on compared to a 20 minute standby line, so I've been very lucky in the respect that I've never had to battle huge crowds and lines before at WDW. I understand that a lot has changed in the last seven years from what I have read in the forums and the parks are busier as a result as well as Fastpass+ having an effect on not just the most popular rides but everything else in the parks. I'm looking forward to this trip but am a little apprehensive to how much forward planning it now requires.
I'll be staying onsite for the entire 12 days but my brother's family of 4 are doing 8 days off site and the last 4 onsite, so trying to co-ordinate fastpass plus for a group of 5 with both 60 day and 30 day windows is going to be a tricky affair, part of me is just thinking Hang it and pre-book as few fastpasses as possible and play it by ear and not let my OCD side micromanage every last minute of the day pre-planning everything.
