We are a party of 6 - DH, DS 5, DD 2, MIL, FIL and myself. Looking for a restaurant in the world with cuisine we really don't experience on a regular basis and have narrowed it down to these two. In general my children do well in restaurants and my son is picky no matter where we go so that is not that worrisome to me. DD eats everything. I am thinking CDF would be fun with Remy and the menu looks wonderful to me. DH is leaning towards RM for the exoticness of it all. Would love to hear pros/cons for either! Thanks so much!

The food at Marrakesh is going to be more different from American cooking than that at Chef's. I love both, but usually eat CS at Morocco and Chef's for lunch....

We did Marakesh in 2007 when my kids were 4, 6 & 8. The food was great but it was so loud that I ended up having to take the 2 younger ones out and eating in shifts with DH.

Now we did go on our arrival day so it might have been that they were just tired but we were seated close to the speakers for the band and it was very loud.

My kids did enjoy Chefs with Remy but we've only ever done it for lunch.

We ate at both on our last trip.. we loved Chefs. The service was great, food was good and Remy was wonderful! My DD is still talking about the big cookie she had for dessert there. Marrakesh? uh.. we will never ever go back. We have eaten there before and enjoyed it but this last trip was just awful. Our appetizer was tolerable.. our entrees were barely edible.. and dessert was just nasty. This is a shame because the place itself is so cool and we have had such great experiences in the past. This time however was just so bad I cannot imagine going back.

That sounds awful! We had a great meal at Marrakesh in Oct 2009, has the place gone downhill so much? What did you order? We greatly preferred it to CHefs, but now I'm not so sure whether to recommend it anymore. :confused3

We did Marrakesh for the Candlelight Processional package in Dec. It was very loud and the food was quite spicy. We didn't care for the dessert at all. The appetizers were so-so.
We loved Chefs de France when we did the Candlelight Processional package the year before. Our filets were melt in your mouth tender.
