Love at First Sight

I met benji in a bar, two weeks later we moved in together and that was 12 years ago.
So I believe

Sometimes you just have to overlook that little voice of DOOM from some people.

If that were the case, I'd be like what Wally said and be in love with Mario Lopez, Sam Worthington, Vin Diesel and a host of others. :)

BUT I DO LOVE MARIO!

Meet Paul in a Disco.
It was Easter - I had a plush toy bunny stuffed in my back pocket and a t-shirt
on that said something dirty about bunnies. :flower3:

We've been together ever since - Not saying how long :rolleyes1-
but I've got the other two beat.

So you met paul in the 70'S?:lmao:

I met my bf through xy.com. I wasn't even looking for a relationship, just one of those fun nights :lmao:

we met..had a fun night...and grew together. We were dating within a month, moved in within 4 months. Now we are going on 4.5 years and the last year has been spent either half a world or half the country apart. We only see each other every 3 months or so and only for a week at most. It's kinda fun though because every time I see him again, I get so excited and we are so awkward around each other because we are not used to having the other person around.

I wouldn't call it love at first sight because I was very very guarded at the time I met him. But it goes to show you that you can't control what happens. I wanted to find a causal bf, stay around the area for a year, and move back to Disney. I ended up with a 4.5 year relationship and sticking around for 3 years, and then moved back to Disney. He comes down in May and we'll finally be done with this long distance stuff. Btw he was 19 and I was 20 when I met him.

So i probably should tell the story of how Chris and I met.

I started my WDW College program in August of 2009. The first weekend I started working at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I went to my Custodial Core Class on Saturday, and when I went home, decided to go out with some friends to the parks. Instead we went to a party hosted by one of my friends friends. I was the only one not drinking and saw Chris across the room. He came over to me, and asked if i wanted a refill of my Sprite, cause we were the only two drinking it. I was mesmerized and would have drank anything he gave me (Not a good thing since I was the DD). We started talking, and about 2 hours in I figured that he was straight/he wasn't interested or he would have made a move by now.
We go walking, and just talk, it was one of the first times that I've ever talked that candidly about myself. I trusted him, something I don't usually do.
So he and I talked all night until about 4:30am...We got back to the house and made Breakfast for everyone, laughing and chatting the whole time. We exchanged numbers, and emails, and I figured we'd be great friends.
Over the next 5 months we chat and talk most every night and he informs me that he was fighting the urge to jump my bones because he was not only interested the only reason he started talking to me was cause he was praying that I was gay.

We started dating January 9th, once I got back to MD, but we haven't seen each other since that first night...Thus I know it "technically" is a love that grew, but with both of us mesmerized from the getgo doesn't that mean love at first sight?

Well, I've documented my first meeting with Scott at Gay Days 2003 too many times on this board for me to re-hash it here again now. (and pretty much all of our relationship since then up to and including our Big Fat Gay Disney Wedding:rotfl:)

Suffice it to say that I too believe in love at first sight. I knew Scott was "the one" the first time I laid eyes on him.

No it wasn't just a physical attraction thing, and no I don't know how I knew. But I did.

My partner and I met 24 years ago and have been in love every since. Yes, we argue and have had many ups and downs, but we love each other and have since the day we layed eyes on each other! Keep the magic alive!

So,

If talking about our big fat gay relationships is keeping the magic alive...

And we know that a good proportion of Disney CM's are gay (or at least that's the inmpression).

That means that Disney is truely the place where the Magic lives! ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Couldn't help it, just feeling a bit naughty this morning!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled program... :)

I LOVE these stories! Mark, you speak for ME too! :thumbsup2 As I said earlier, Christy & I met online, but it really WAS at 1st site. It was her eyes that drew me to her. She has the most soulfull eyes, so honest and loving. I just HAD to find out who she was. I was quite straight at the time. Never even kissed a girl, but I was SO drawn to her, that none of that mattered. We celebrate 4 years in June and have our Commitment Ceremony 10/10/10:love:

Yup, I vote a very firm YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lovestruc

OP, thanks for this thread and sharing your very sweet story!

Chris

I do not beleive that love at first site exists, rather it is just a method to start a relationship.

The thought of love at first site insinuates a relationship is based on looks, but we all know the looks fade, so something else has to be there afterwords to back up the physical. This is where communication comes in, whether it be online, on the phone, in person, etc. You fall in love with a person's heart not what your eyes see.

Maybe it's just semantics, but in the end what matters is you fall in love, not the method by which it happens.

Awwww, clearly you've never experienced that extremely intuitive and significant reaction when "that one person" entered your life, or room, or when you first laid eyes on each other. It most certainly isn't based solely on visual appearance. Not at all in my experience, in fact.

I know, without having experienced it, it's quite easy to say it doesn't exist. Rather like faeries, and pixie dust, eh?

Well, some of us have had that experience, and it most certainly does exist, just like the air that you breathe exists. ::yes::

S'okay that you don't believe it, or understand it, not dismissing that. So don't dismiss my experiences, and my reality summarily out of hand. :)

Its absolutely possible. Me and my Sophie met when we were 18, and it was love at first sight :lovestruc

I turned 26 yesterday and I still get butterflies everytime she walks into a room. :cloud9:

Wally can call me lovey names, he's cute...just no touchie. I'm most like Kuzco in that regard :lmao:

So Chris has agreed to come to Disney and I'm thinking I've gotta do a Trip Report on here and on the Trip reports.
