lounge at AKL?

Just wondering if there is a lounge at AKL where DH and I can get a drink and maybe an appetizer.DS is booked for Simba's club 1 night but not sure I want to leave him too long.Thought 1 or 2 hours would be plenty so didn't want to have to rush through dinner!A couple glasses of wine and a quick bite should do just the trick!!!!

Hi - you can drinks at Victoria Falls in AKL. I'm not sure if they serve appetizers or not.

If you have PS for Boma, one or two hours is plenty for an un-rushed dinner. We really like the dinner at Boma. And if you have the money, Jiko is spectacular, and also can be enjoyed unrushed in 60 - 90 minutes.

Having said all that, I think sitting in the lounge would be relaxing and fun - I like the setting! I don't know if they serve appetizers, though.

OH BOY I CAN"T WAIT!Who needs food anyways!haha I nice glass of wine and a fire sounds just like what I was looking for!Maybe we will all go grab a bite before he goes to Simba's club and then we can really relax a bit!Probably not a good idea to have too much wine without a full stomach or esle EE at MGM the next day might be a little unpleasant!(TofT and RRC might not be a good idea!haha)I am SO excited!

The firepit area is really a neat area. We loved it! Just fyi you can also get a drink from the pool bar and stroll around the grounds. There are places around the pool area that you can see animals by moonlight. You'll never want to leave.

You can always pack your own bottle of wine & a couple of pretty "dollar store" wine glasses and enjoy the view from your own balcony. Hey, while you're at it, a nice scented candle for the balcony table would complete the scene. Romantic with a capitol R!

All of these suggestions sound SO wonderful.This is the first trip that we are planning a little time for ourselves so I guess we've never experienced the "romance" in Disney just the "magic"!Looking forward to the new experience!

Just to let you know. We felt a little "bad" for having the kids go to Simbas so we could have so time to ourselves. However the next day from sun up until dinner time they begged us to let them go back even just for a while. We ended up getting the con. to see if they could put us in for awhile and they did. My kids loved the place! They do all kinds of stuff.

Victoria Falls is a great place to relax for a few drinks. They DO have an appetizer menu.
