We may be visiting the Louisville zoo in the middle of July. We think it looks like a great zoo and moderately priced but does anyone know of any discounts that may be available or any coupons? Thanks so much!

how many will there be in your party? the louisville zoo has a family plan, it also gets you into other zoos. FAMILY (HOUSEHOLD) ($75)
Benefits for two adults and up to four children in the household ages 18 and under OR benefits for one adult and up to four children in the household ages 18 and under plus a guest OR grandparents may purchase for themselves and up to four grandchildren ages 18 and under.

meijer stores are also offering a discount.

hope those help. hopefully someone else has better discounts.

If you already have a pass for a zoo near you, check to see if Louisville is part of the reciprical program. If you are visiting someone who has a pass to the Louisville Zoo they should get coupons in the zoo magazine from time to time that allow them to get discount admission for people they are with.

I think the Louisville zoo is good. I have a membership there. If you do go have your kids wear their swimsuits under their clothes or bring them, they have a nice water play area.

I'm unsure about discounts, but wanted to chime in. We have lived near Louisville for 10 years and have greatly enjoyed the zoo. Nice size. Clean and very well kept. Good variety of animals.

Sure, it's not WDW, but it always makes for a fun day!

I am a member of the Louisville zoo. If you pm me your address I can see about sending you my coupons from the magazine they send out since I don't use them. :goodvibes

I too live near the Louisville Zoo it's a very nice zoo GREAT picnic area too in middle of zoo an the kids area is very nice adults can get wet too an often do my Gbabies little enough that if they get wet so do I cause we got to be right there with them. You can easily kill a whole day at the zoo if you wish.

If I am remembering correctly, if you have a AAA membership you will get a discount. Can't remember if this is the Louisville or Cincinnati zoo. Give it a try.

we used to live in Goshen/ Prospect area in Oldham County(but it is almost like a subarb of Louisville,so close) and in that area there is a place called Henry's Ark that is a free petting zoo, and you can buy feed for the animals. I think their address is Prospect,Ky. Haven't been there is about 2 years, so call first, but it is great.Emus, camels, bunnies, goats, etc:goodvibes

The Zoo has it's own petting zoo, too. Nothing else out in the Prospect area to do, so I wouldn't make a special trip for that.

The water play area is great! Feel free to bring your lunches. I think about 60-70% of the people do, but they do have adequate food places.
